And insiders claim Channel Nine could be preparing for one of the franchise's most drama-filled seasons yet, with the series expected to premiere in September.

Sources say Scott has been flying across the country promoting Shark! before returning to Mount Eliza for filming commitments on The Block's crucial final week.

'It's been a huge juggling act,' claims one insider.

'Scotty has basically been bouncing between two major Nine productions at the same time.'

But while the renovations may be near completion, insiders say much of the conversation surrounding Season 22 is already centring on the cast dynamics. 

Particularly the female-driven conflict brewing behind the scenes.

According to insiders, this year's outspoken personalities already have one contestant drawing comparisons to some of The Block's most polarising recent stars.

House 1 contestant Jolene is reportedly emerging as one of the season's most unfiltered voices.

Some sources have claimed she quickly became known for 'saying exactly what she thinks' throughout filming.

'There's always one contestant each year who becomes the person everybody is talking about,' says a source.

'You had Kristy, you had Kylie, you had Alicia! All women who were outspoken, direct and completely unapologetic about it. Jolene definitely falls into that category.'

However, sources insist Jolene was far more aware of how previous Block 'villain edits' have played out than contestants before her.
