Three decades after she rose to fame, Diane has barely aged a day as she continues to maintain her remarkably youthful appearance

Diane, who shares daughter Nova Tennessee, seven, with her fiancé Norman Reedus, reconnected with her forgotten love of fitness after welcoming her child.

She wanted to regain control over her body to prepare for her role in spy film The 335 back in 2019.

The movie is jam-packed with action sequences and stunts which Diane began training for just six months post partum.

'It was daunting', she told Women's Health. 'But after six months of being a full-time mom, I was ready to get back to me, and to get out of the house.

'It was fun to have a few hours away each day to focus on my body and my work. It was exhilarating to go back to working out - to lifting heavy, kicking higher, and trusting my body.'

Boxing drills, running and two-hour training sessions soon became part of her weekly routine.

Her gruelling workouts include elliptical, burpees, box jumps, sit-ups, planks and 20-pound squats.

As she has got older, Diane said she has learnt to love and appreciate her changing body and mind.

'I was naturally skinny when I was younger, and I did a lot of ballet and ballroom dancing, so I didn't work out traditionally. But by the time I hit about 32, I felt my metabolism change', she added. 'That's when I thought I needed to work out to be able to eat what I wanted - and I dreaded it.'

She told Grazia: 'We're healthy, I'm always trying to be rational about what I buy and what we need. I hate throwing away food.'

Diane previously detailed the secrets to her youthful looks, insisting she takes a natural approach to ageing.

'While I appreciate the benefits of skincare treatments like facials and massages, I prioritise practices that promote overall wellness and vitality', she told Women&Home.

'With age and motherhood, I've experienced a profound shift in my perception of myself,' Diane continued. 'Keeping fit, healthy, and strong for myself and my daughter is my main priority.

'I believe in everything in moderation, balance and enjoyment in my diet and fitness routine.'

Diane follows a protein-heavy breakfast, consisting of poached eggs, avocado and multigrain bread.
