The mom-of-four revealed during a confessional that both she and her husband came to the decision to separate after trying to navigate through therapy and intimacy struggles.
During the previous season, Matthews had 'for about four or five years' - which came to an end when she was a teenager.
Both she and Terry had been going to therapy sessions together, but Matthews admitted that it was 'hard to focus' while also dealing with her chronic eczema battle and flare-ups.

Matthews has plans to work on herself during their time apart while Terry voiced that he still wants her to 'commit' to trauma therapy.
'I think it's hard anytime you bring up the stuff with the sex and the intimacy,' she explained to him.
