Millie Mackintoshs Bold Post-Split Makeover Shines!

Yet amid her split from her husband, Millie seems to be reviving he racy displays, having made a statement as she attended the Devil Wears Prada 2 event in London on Wednesday. 

Dressed to impress, she stepped out in a head-turning black halter-neck gown featuring a daring low-cut front.

The star, 36, teamed the look with a Versace chain belt and accessories, while adding inches to her frame with black pointed heels. 

Clearly embracing her new carefree style, Mille took to Instagram the following day to declare 'bad b*****s are healing and decentering the things that don't align with our magic'. 

Indeed it seems a return to Millie's roots, with longtime fans able to remember Millie's flair for attention-grabbing red carpet moments during her Made in Chelsea days.

From leg baring mini dresses to sheer ensembles and revealing silhouettes, the reality icon was never short of a daring display.

However, after rekindling her relationship with Hugo in 2016, to which they went on and married two years later, her style shifted to a more conservative and polished aesthetic. 

Structured blazers, floral maxi dresses, and sweet blouses replaced the racier looks.

That all changed earlier this year, when it was revealed that Millie and Hugo, who share daughters Sienna, five, and Aurelia, four, had separated after seven years of marriage.

Since then, the newly single star has been re-embracing her more daring fashion choices.

Earlier this month, she wowed fans in a white bikini while sharing a playful Instagram video filmed on her staircase. 

She's also posted gym snaps in sleek black workout gear, as well as a candid moment posing in a bra while speaking about finding 'the courage to start again on her own terms.'

In March, it was reported that Hugo and Millie officially filed for divorce and both appointed legal teams, with the pair said to be keen for a 'clean break' while continuing to co-parent amicably.

But then Millie seemingly threw some subtle shade at her estranged husband as she shared a pointed post about making a 'hard decision' following claims the former couple have filed for divorce.

She shared a cryptic post about loving when a difficult decision is proven to have been the correct call.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, she pointedly reshared an unattributed quotation that read: 'I absolutely love when life confirms that a hard decision I made was actually the right one.' 

Millie also tellingly posted the quote set to a remix of Tom Odell's poignant track, Another Love, an emotionally charged song about the exhaustion in the aftermath of a heartbreak.

The post came after the TV personality admitted she was 'resisting' the temptation to open up online following her shock marriage split.

She is known for her honest admissions and in the past opened has up about her ADHD , alcohol addiction as well as confessions about her sexuality, the latter which reportedly heightened the pair's marriage struggles. Read the full story here.

But Millie said she was fearful about 'letting fans in' at the moment as she alluded to her marriage breakdown, saying she'd become more cautious because of 'things going on in my personal life'.

She explained she'd recently met a fan who had praised her for being so open about her mental health and 'so real'.

Describing the interaction as 'emotional' for her, Millie confessed: 'I think recently I have found it really hard to know how show up online because of things I've got going on in my personal life that I am not going to share online.

'But because I do usually share so much of my life, I left like this gap, this residence to posting and like letting you guys in'.

She went on to say how the interaction made her remember how 'amazing the online community is' and solidified the notion that her honest content helped others.

Earlier this year, a source claimed the pair had filed for divorce, telling The Sun: 'Fans will be sad to hear that their relationship is really over, but the pair just want a clean break.

'Millie and Hugo are committed to co-parenting their two young children and keeping everything stable. They are still very amicable with each other and have a lot of respect for one another.'

They continued: 'They want the divorce to go through as painlessly as possible and are focusing on work in the meantime.'

Influencer Millie first met Hugo as a teenager, and they began dating when she was 21, rising to fame together on Made in Chelsea.

But after six months their relationship hit a wall when she accused him of cheating with her best friend and co-star, Rosie Fortescue, and they split in 2011.

At the time, Millie claimed she would always love Hugo, saying in an interview: 'I loved him - those feelings don't disappear – but I just always have to remind myself why we're not together.'

'I do think that, for the rest of my life, every time I see him, I'll get that feeling in my stomach. I don't think I could ever not get that butterfly feeling.'

The Quality Street heiress then had a very high-profile relationship with rapper Professor Green, also known as Stephen Manderson, 42, tying the knot in 2013.

However, the couple went on to announce their separation after 30 months of marriage in February 2016, with Millie and Hugo rekindling their romance later that year.

The pair tied the knot two years later and welcomed their first daughter, Sienna, in 2020, followed by Aurelia in 2021.

A source told the Daily Mail of their split earlier this year: 'Millie and Hugo are currently going through a separation and have sadly decided to split.

'They have known each other for many years, and in recent weeks, have had serious conversations about their future, ultimately deciding it's better for them both to part ways.

'Their main priority remains their children and family life, and separating is not something they ever hoped would happen.

'At present, they are considering what living apart might look like and how they plan to navigate co-parenting their young children.

'It's been an incredibly difficult start to the year, and one they hope to continue managing in private.'
