Mel B and Kimberly Wyatt Shine at Blackpool Illuminations Event

Mel B put on a leggy display on Friday as she posed up a storm ahead of turning n the iconic Blackpool Illuminations.

The Spice Girl, 49, slipped into a sparkly pale pink mini dress and silver boots as she headed to the seaside town to do the honour of switching in the famous lights for the 2024 season.

Mel appeared in great spirits as she posed with a ‘I love Blackpool’ T-shirt on the promenade, with the legendary Blackpool Tower seen behind her.

The Wannabe hitmaker was in good company as Kimberley Wyatt, 42 was also in town to join in the festivities.

The Pussycat Doll looked sensational as she flaunted her abs in a hot pink jumpsuit with a daring cut-out.

The singer added matching heels to her look and looked in great spirits as she too posed with a souvenir T-shirt.

Kimberly, who DJ’d at the illuminations concert, looked to be having much fun and she posed this way and that for the cameras in front of the Blackpool Towers.

Crowds gathered on the Tower Festival Headland on Blackpool Promenade to watch as Mel B lit up the town – 

The free light show, which features six miles of light displays and traditional festoons adorning buildings, lamp posts and fairground rides along the promenade, will be on until January 5.

Speaking at the event, Mel B told how Blackpool was ‘close to her heart’ as she lived there for two years as a teen while working as a dancer in the Mystique show at the Pleasure Beach Resort.

She said: ‘Blackpool was my old stomping ground when I was a teenager, I lived here two years.

‘I was 15 or 16 and I became a dancer here in Blackpool, and that was my first professional job before I got into Spice Girls.

‘So Blackpool is very dear to my heart.’

Mel added that she and her family would visit Blackpool annually to watch the lights in their ‘clapped out car’.

Further recalling her memories she added: ‘I have fond memories of sitting in traffic as a kid for hours and watching all the lights go on.’

The iconic Blackpool Illuminations – which cost over £2 million a year to stage – contribute to attract in excess of 3.5 million visitors a year. 

The illuminations party also featured a performance from headline act Ella Henderson, who entertained the crowds with her hit songs

The former X Factor star cut a cool figure in a white vest top teamed with a cropped white shirt and black cargo trousers

Meanwhile, Britain’s Got Talent winner Sydnie Christmas also took to the stage at the Blackpool Lights Switch On

The singer looked smart for the occasion as she slipped into a cropped khaki jacket and matching shorts
