The Manchester City star, 29, is already receiving a roasting from fans over what's been a tough week, as the split was revealed days after his club lost the title.
It was reported on Thursday that Maya, 31, and Ruben ended their relationship three weeks ago, before the presenter flew to Scotland to film Celebrity Traitors.
Now, the couple have proceeded to delete any snaps of each other from their respective Instagram accounts.

Maya's most recent snap, which was posted last month following their trip to Rome, has disappeared, as has her and Ruben's loved-up Day post.
Ruben has deleted two images of Maya from a holiday post he shared in May 2025, while a photo of the Love Island star following a trip to his home nation of Portugal has also been scrubbed from the feed.

Over the weekend, Maya was also silent on social media when Ruben lifted the FA Cup trophy with his City teammates, despite previously supporting him at matches.
Fans were quick to note the timing of the split, as Manchester City missed out on another Premier League title triumph to rivals Arsenal.
One posted on X: 'Ruben Dias lost the title and Maya Jama in the same week? It’s tuffff.'
However, others were more focused on whether this could spark a sensational return to prominence for Ruben next season, writing: 'Ruben Dias loading next season;'
'PRIME RUBEN DIAS IS GONNA BE BACK OH MY GODDDDD.'
Maya and Ruben started dating in December 2024 after meeting at the MTV in Manchester a month before.
Sources shared on Thursday that the pair decided to end the relationship after realising it had 'run its course,' with both focusing on busy times in their careers.
However, it's thought that the pair's split has been 'amicable,' and there is still 'a lot of love and respect between them.'
An insider said: 'Maya is heading into an intense filming schedule and Ruben's focus is fully on the World Cup, so they've decided to part ways.'
They went on to tell The Sun: 'There's no bad blood at all between them. They're still incredibly fond of one another, but with months apart ahead and huge work commitments coming up, they both felt it was the right time to step back from the relationship.

'Friends around them could see how much they cared about each other. But with Maya's work schedule and Ruben's football commitments ramping up, the relationship naturally reached a crossroads.
'The split has been very mature and mutual. They're both young, ambitious and entering huge phases in their respective careers.'
The Daily Mail contacted representatives of Maya Jama and Ruben Dias for comment.
As recently as last month, Maya had shared a gallery of loved-up snaps with Ruben following their romantic break to Rome.
However, neither star will have time to dwell on the split, with Maya set to return to work on the new series of Love Island next month, while Ruben will be jetting to the US to play for the Portuguese national team at the World Cup.
The split comes just four months after the couple moved in together, with Maya relocating to live with the football star in a £4million mansion in Cheshire.
However, the pair were left 'devastated' after thieves ransacked their mansion in January.
The incident happened while Ruben was playing away against Turkish team Galatasaray, and Maya was notably in South Africa filming Love Island: All Stars.
The burglars made off with thousands of pounds worth of items, including designer clothes, jewellery and electronics, according to reports.
The couple had only recently moved into the Omaze prize-draw mansion, which is said to cost £20,000 a month to rent.
The couple went on to strengthen security at their property by paying for a Strongbox 24-hour security team to live in the garden - despite having 'state of the art security systems'.
'The couple asked a security firm to come in and assess the property and the suggestion was that having live-in round-the-clock guards would act as a great deterrent,' a source told The Sun.
'Lots of footballers have private fitness coaches, chefs, drivers – and now are adding security guards to the list.'
On the day of the targeted attack, Ruben reportedly raised the alarm after returning home from the away game and discovering the house had been turned upside down with valuable items missing.
A source said at the time: 'They are devastated, the house is the first they have moved into as a couple and is very special to them. Thankfully, neither was at home, but they are very upset that their personal space has been invaded.'
They added to The Sun: 'Maya was very proud to move into her first home with Ruben and took lots of videos and pictures while in the house which she posted on her social media.
'Previously in their relationship, she was back and forth from London and he was living in a city centre flat. That's why this property means so much to them.'
Ruben previously spoke about whether he was concerned about the publicity surrounding his relationship with Maya.
He told The Telegraph: 'No, I think that's the last thing you think about.
'We are just both aware of it, and there's no way around it.
'But at the end of the day, you don't make it about it. You make it about everything else, and then that's an extra you have to deal with and, obviously, be smart with it.'
Maya previously split from rapper Stormzy in 2024, taking to Instagram with a joint statement stating: 'We fell madly in love in 2014, broke up in 2019, and then spent five years manoeuvring life apart.'
They confirmed the breakup was 'final' after previously going their separate ways following a five-year relationship in 2019 and reconnecting in August 2023.
