The release of the 911 dispatch call made prior to the death of Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City star 's son is bringing his death into sharper focus.
Robert Cosby Jr. . While an official cause of death has not been released, police initially responded to what was described as a ‘possible overdose’ before the case was later classified as a death investigation.
And in the 911 audio, obtained by the Daily Mail, his dire state becomes apparent.
In the audio, a dispatcher can be heard saying that 'a 23-year-old male' was 'not conscious' and 'not breathing.'
They added that 'one dose of Narcan' — the brand name of naloxone, a drug that reverses the effects of opiates — had already been administered, apparently without any effect.
Notably, naloxone can restore breathing in a person suffering an opioid overdose, but only if it is administered quickly enough.

The dispatcher went on to note that three police units had been dispatched to his location.
Salt Lake City police told TMZ that officers responded Monday night to a call for a 'full arrest/medical emergency' involving a 23-year-old male.
While police said they had responded to a 'possible overdose,' authorities have not released further details and haven't shared a final cause of death.
At the time the episode was filmed, Robert was being held at Salt Lake County Metro Jail following a November arrest for allegedly violating a pretrial protective order against his now ex-wife, Alexiana Smokoff (pictured on the right)
