Daily Mail Australia can reveal Carina tried out careers as a TV personality, host, model, actress, and content creator, before she applied to season 12 of MAFS.

The Kim Kardashian lookalike, 31, is one of several participants this year with an extensive on-screen resume.

After model Evelyn Ellis parlayed her 2023 stint on the social experiment into a lucrative hosting and modelling career, perhaps Carina planned to do the same.

Carina has ‘ambitions and dreams to excel in the entertainment world’ and is an aspiring presenter and actor’, her Now Talent profile reveals.

The brunette beauty has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Edith Cowan University, a diploma in fashion design and completed acting classes at the famous West Australian Academy of Performing Arts.

She got her big TV break in as ‘lead actress’ in a Channel Nine TV segment filmed with Beyond Tools in 2018, according to her multiple talent booking profiles on Star Now, Now Actors, and Backstage, and has starred in numerous TV commercials since.

The MAFS bride ‘hopes to combine her sense of style and passion for pop-culture with her future career,’ her website says.

Carina moved to New York after university to pursue her showbusiness dreams.

‘People say the Big Apple’s incredible, it is,’ a 24-year-old Carina says in a show reel at the top of her portfolio.

‘It’s a cool lifestyle.’

‘If I could be specific in what I want to work in, it would definitely be MTV, ENews!, NBC Universal,’ she said.

‘More of the pop culture, lighthearted entertainment, fluffy news. And specifically report on red carpets, that’s definitely the goal. The aim is to be up there and being in front of the camera.’

Carina said her top five dream interviews are, ‘Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, The Weeknd and Drake.’

Carina auditioned to be the host of E! News Australia back in 2014, before putting journalism on the back burner to pursue acting and modelling.

But she did tick at least one of those big life goals off her original list recently.

She did meet Drake, and he even paid for her lunch.

Carina was spotted in the company of rap megastar in Perth last month at high-end restaurant Gibney, where she had been dining with influencer friends  including designer Nilofar Khirzad, Chloe Carolina, and Natasha Del Bianco.

They were later seen front and centre at Drake’s sold-out concert, fuelling speculation about their growing connection.

Carina landed small a part in Channel 7’s The Claremont Murders and also appeared as an extra in MTV’s reality show Love & Hip Hop in 2018.

She also featured in a music video for Sidhu Bhammeala’s song ‘Boss’.

More recently though, the MAFS star pivoted to the world of fashion and social media.

Just before her appearance on MAFS, she launched her own unisex athleisure clothing label called Mirab (a reference to her surname).

‘From a young age Carina always dreamt of having a presence in the fashion world,’ Mirab’s website says.

‘Her aunt was a dressmaker, her mother was a shopping connoisseur, and young Carina use to be her older sisters very own Barbie doll.

‘Fast forward twenty something years, her life long goals from a young age has now simply become a reality.’

Carina’s Instagram, which has 49,000 followers at the time of writing and half-way through the current season of MAFS, is a highlight reel of glamorous international travel, designer handbags, and influencer parties.

She certainly won’t be the first nor last MAFS participant to coincidentally launch a career in social media/fashion/TV/modelling/OnlyFans after trying ‘to find love’ on Australian TV.

In fact, her husband Paul starred on The Real Love Boat Australia.

And her MAFS co-stars Sierah Sweptone (The Bachelor), Jeff Gobels (Neighbours) and Teejay Hellkias (Big Brother Australia) all had a little experience up their sleeves.

Carina and Paul were considered one of the strongest couples of the season until last week, when Paul revealed he’d punched a hole in their apartment wall during a heated fight.

The violent act is now being investigated by NSW Police, but Carina insists he is  being unfairly portrayed on the reality series.

In a statement to Daily Mail Australia, she dismissed the criticism, saying: ‘Like, I feel like he’s 100% not a DV person and he is a good human and egg and big heart.

‘Him and I are so similar and just naive with a YES YES mentality… I want people to know that’s not him.’

She also reassured fans that production had provided adequate support for all contestants.

‘If I felt unsafe, I would have walked away, but production implemented good duty of care and regulations/advice and offered us both all the help we needed and still do – you know!’
