The Wuthering Heights actress, 35, appeared on the Table Manners podcast with Jessie and Lennie Ware to promote the new film which she stars in alongside Jacob Elordi.
Chat soon turned to food on the podcast as Margot praised her producer husband, also 35, for being an incredible cook before giving a sweet insight into their relationship.
She said: 'My husband is a phenomenal cook - he could be a chef he is so good. We are like a perfect match.
'I didn't know he was good until after we got married. He spends two days making a spaghetti bolognese.

'He does a three-day fried rice with Korean short ribs. He does steak better than any restaurant I've ever been to!'

Margot and Tom met back in 2013, on the set of Suite Francaise and then lived as friends together with other roommates in Clapham, London.
They then formed a romantic connection and married in 2016.

In the podcast chat she revealed that they still lived with their roommates for a few months after getting married until they realised they should get their own place.
Margot explained: 'We had all moved from Clapham to Shepherd's Bush and one day our roommates were like this is a little weird you guys are married now... We got married quite quickly so... And yeah then we moved out and got our own place.'
However on the podcast the Australian star told a shocking story about a huge faux pas she made while spending Christmas with his family in the UK.
She told how she offered to make them a big ham for Christmas day but ended up severely undercooking it after a mix up with how she prepared the meat back in Australia.
Margot explained: 'Ham at Christmas time in Australia is essential. It is pre cooked ham over there and then you heat it up in the oven it doesn't take long.

'So when I did my first Christmas over here with Tom's family I was like 'oh I'll do the ham don't worry' so I went to the butcher and asked for ham and got some gammon.
'It was a huge piece of pork and I cooked it for only three hours and it was completely raw inside. I watched his grandma nearly put a raw piece of pork in her mouth. She could have died so I slapped it out of her hand!'
The story left hosts Lennie and Jessie in stitches as they told her she would have to cook a massive piece of meat like that for much longer than three hours.

Elsewhere in the chat she admitted to being thrown out of infamous nightclub Infernos and 'most of the clubs in Clapham', while also opening up on her wild hen do featuring a Harry Potter stripper.
Up until 2016 Margot was a proud Clapham resident, living in a ramshackle, four-bedroom flat ironically dubbed The Manor with six of her friends.
She previously branded her life in south London as the 'best days of my life' and reportedly instigated a compulsory 'house tattoo', with every member getting the same design.
And on the podcast she opened up on her wild days in the capital as she admitted to being thrown out of Infernos - the cheesy establishment renowned for its drenched carpeted floors.
The disco-central club appears to be a magnet for celebrities, with The Summer I Turned Pretty actress Lola Tung also previously being spotted dancing the night away inside.

Speaking to Jessie and Lennie, Margot explained how her roommates had initially told her about the former Cinema while she was working in Belgium and how you 'can't get kicked out' - which she unintentionally put to the test.
Margot said: 'So we all had a weekend in London when the job was done. And of course, we went to Infernos, and within about 15 minutes, we got kicked out.

'And while we're getting dragged out by security, I was screaming, “but this is Infernos, you can’t get kicked out of Infernos.”

'And the bouncer was like, “Look, we allow most things, but when your friend does [redacted], then we kick you out”. And I was like, “okay, fair enough!”'
Margot did not reveal what her friend had done to alert security, but went on to admit: 'Most of the clubs in Clapham, I'd say, have kicked us out.
'Yeah, for a while we were banned at a number of places! [..] So we ended up all deciding to move in together.'
Margot was so captured by the area she and her pals decided to call it home and the lifestyle she led could be likened to that of a student, the star previously admitting she was like a 'naughty schoolgirl'.
She explained: 'I had gone back to America at that point, and so we were looking online, and the guys were like, “Oh, it's a sign this place is down the road from Infernos”. So we literally signed our lease just because it was down the road from Infernos.'

While on the cusp of stardom, pictures posted by the actress's friend group on social media in 2014 suggest a hard-drinking lifestyle a world away from the fakery of LA.
One, captioned 'the house degenerates', shows a brunette Margot wearing black boots, posing with her housemates atop a roof, sticking two fingers up at the camera, wearing a T-shirt with the slogan 'Oscars Bait' (in 2018 Margot would be nominated for an Academy Award for her role in I, Tonya about infamous ice skater Tonya Harding).
Another shows a pile of bin bags outside the house filled with empty beer cans.
The housemates got on so well that in 2015, four of them - Margot, Tom, Sophia Kerr and Josey McNamara - founded production company, Lucky Chap.
Now worth an estimated £25million, its remit is to 'make female stories', producing I, Tonya in 2017, Promising Young Woman, starring Carey Mulligan, in 2020 - both of which won Oscars - and now Barbie.

Before her wedding to husband Tom, the former Neighbours star had a boozy Harry Potter-themed hen do, with a stripper.
She recalled: 'My friends got a stripper and made him do Harry Potter. It was so funny and not sexy, and like, he was like, in a robe with the glasses, the scar, and you know, all the innuendo that you can imagine.
'And it was very, very funny, but we were all so drunk, it really didn't matter, to be honest!
In the midst of her party girl era, Margot befriended the local off license owners and even invited them to one of her movie premieres, though she said they did not believe she was famous and did not accept her invitation.
Meanwhile, during an appearance on Heart Radio on Tuesday to promote Wuthering Heights, Margot necked beer and gin with Amanda Holden.

Margot has been showing off a series of stylish looks on the recent Wuthering Heights promo tour
During the interview, Amanda brought along a pair of shoe-shaped bottles so the pair could have 'shoeys' - when someone drinks out of a shoe as a party piece. It is popular in Australia as a celebratory ritual.
Amanda said: 'I've got you a little present only because it's nearly lunchtime so I feel this is legal. As an Australian, I know you like shoeys.'
'I literally just told someone what a shoey is,' Margot replied.
Amanda then revealed the shoe-shaped bottles, one with beer, which she gave to Margot, and one with gin, which she drank herself.

'This is actual beer. You can either go for a real one or a non-alcoholic one,' she said.
'I mean, obviously the real one. This is a very elegant shoey. Usually you do it out of some mangy old sneaker,' Margot said.
'Cheers darling,' Amanda said as they both enjoyed their drinks.
