Britney Spears’ manager Cade Hudson slammed Saturday Night Live writers calling them ‘pathetic’ over their new skit of the singer.

The 41-year-old singer was parodied by Chloe Fineman, 35, on last night’s show, where she impersonated the star discussing her new memoir, The Woman In Me.

Hudson responded to the parody via Instagram, as per Page Six, writing, ‘Wow. The writers of SNL are getting worse and worse. No wonder you all reached out to me to get Britney on the show… snl is on life support.’

He added, ‘You all are pathetic and this Chloe [Fineman] isn’t funny. Did you find her on Craigslist or something?’

The skit also sees other cast members impersonating celebrities as they audition to read the audiobook version of the star’s memoir, which, in reality, was done by actress Michelle Williams.

Spears herself has not addressed the sketch as of yet.

The skit starts out with Chloe as Britney, as she states that she’s touched her book has made it on the New York Times best seller list.

She then shares that Williams wasn’t the only one who wanted to be the the voice of the audio book.

The first candidate was actress Allison Janney (played by Heidi Gardner) who, after reading her lines, questioned, ‘Who wrote this?’

The next star was Timothée Chalamet – who was the show’s actual host, but was portrayed by Chloe Troast in the skit. Instead of reading any lines, the Timothée lookalike continued to excitedly repeat ‘yeah, yeah, yeah.’

Meanwhile the real Timothée followed, dressed up as director Martin Scorsese, 80.

Kylie Jenner’s beau rocked the filmmaker’s signature black rimmed glasses as he asked, ‘Who’s saying action? I’m saying action? You saying action?’

The next star trying out for the part was Steve-O from Jackass, played by Mikey Day, who was followed by comedian John Mulaney played by Sarah Sherman.

Meanwhile Jada Pickett Smith (played by Ego Nwodim) plugged her own memoir, Worthy, instead of reading from Britney’s book.

This is not the first time that Chloe has impersonated Britney. She previously played her in 2021 and in 2022 on the late night variety show.

The sketch appeared to be inspired by Williams, whose narration went viral after she impersonated Britney’s ex Justin Timberlake putting on an accent in a bid to impress black musicians.

In the book, Britney accuses Justin of trying ‘too hard’ to fit in during his time in *NSYNC.

She recounted one such occasion in 1999 when they bumped into R&B singer, Ginuwine – prompting Justin to speak with a ‘blaccent’ which Britney clearly felt was inauthentic.

A ‘Blaccent’ – a combination of the words ‘black’ and ‘accent’ – is when a non-Black person imitates Black English, also known as African American Vernacular English (AAVE).

Speaking about the encounter with Ginuwine, she continued: ‘Walking our way was a guy with a huge, blinged-out medallion. He was flanked by two giant security guards.

‘J got all excited and said, so loud, “Oh yeah, fo shiz, fo shiz! Ginuwiiiiiine! What’s up, homie?”‘

She continued: ‘After Ginuwine walked away, [Spears’ personal assistant] Felicia did an impression of J… J wasn’t even embarrassed. He just took it and looked at her like, “Okay, f**k you, Fe.”‘

The Grammy-winning singer’s memoir The Woman in Me has sold 1.1 million copies in the U.S. alone through its first week, according to sales figures.

‘I poured my heart and soul into my memoir, and I am grateful to my fans and readers around the world for their unwavering support,’ Spears said in a statement released Wednesday by Gallery Books, a division of Simon & Schuster.

The sales figures include pre-orders, print sales, e-books and audiobooks; The Woman in Me, released October 24, has been praised by critics as a compelling account of her rise to global fame and her ongoing struggles.

The book includes accounts of the conservatorship that for years granted her father control of much of her life and her revelation that she had an abortion while dating Justin Timberlake more than 20 years ago.

On the day of publication, the Oops!… I Did It Again vocalist posted on Instagram that her book had become ‘the highest selling celebrity memoir in history.’

It is not, so far, even the highest selling memoir of 2023, as Prince Harry’s memoir Spare, which came out in January, sold 1.6 million U.S. copies in its first week.

Spears is also reportedly planning her second memoir, in which she will open up about why her relationship with estranged husband Sam Asghari ended.

Despite the recent end to their 14-month marriage, after he filed for divorce due to ‘irreconcilable differences’ in July, the pop star described her former partner, 29, as ‘a gift from God’ in her memoir.
