MAFS Feud: Bec Zacharia Clashes with Domenica Calarco

Bec Zacharia has hit back at fellow Married At First Sight bride  after she was accused of staging a PR stunt. 

Domenica, who appeared on season nine of the reality series in 2022, made a comment on an Instagram video documenting Bec's controversial 'Barbie waist' surgery in Bali. 

'Ohh, I get it now. Just another PR ploy to fix her public perception,' Domenica wrote. 

Bec replied to the slight with a lengthy statement to Woman's Day, in which she insisted she was being 'bullied' for her interest in the rib reduction procedure. 

'The level of personal attacks, bullying and abuse directed at me says far more about the character of those making those comments than it does about mine,' she said.

'I believe every person has the right to make informed decisions about their own body without being subjected to harassment or cruelty.'

Bec said she wanted to share a 'transparent account of my experience' and said that was her decision alone.  

The reality star, who appeared on season 13 of MAFS last year, has since pulled out of the cosmetic procedure, after she .

Just days after it was revealed the reality star had travelled overseas to undergo the increasingly popular rib contouring operation, Bec made a shock last-minute decision to walk away moments before she was due to go under the knife.

Speaking on the MAFS Funny podcast, the 35-year-old admitted she arrived at the luxury Bali hospital fully prepared for surgery before questioning whether she was making the right decision.

'I walked in and I thought, "Am I ready? Is this what I want to do?"' Bec said.

'I just think that I'm going to take a little bit of time to think about it a little bit more.'

The body-contouring procedure, which is not currently available in Australia, involves reshaping the lower floating ribs to create a dramatically smaller waist without removing the bones. 

The surgery has exploded in popularity among influencers, with several women undergoing the operation during the same Bali trip.
