Madonna Leaves Manchester Hotel with High Spirits, Preparing for Celebration Tour Rehearsals Ahead of First Gig in a Few Days

She is preparing to kick off her rescheduled Celebration Tour after a bacterial  infection sent her to the ICU.

And Madonna looked in good spirits as she headed to another gruelling day of rehearsals in Manchester on Tuesday, ahead of her first concert at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday.

The pop superstar, 65, dressed down in an oversized black and white sweater and loose fitting trousers as she departed her hotel.

She hid behind dark shades but flashed a small smile at the crowds waiting outside.

The star is putting her all in to the final days of run-throughs, hiring out Manchester’s AO venue for some ‘intense, last-minute rehearsals’.

Her first gig is at London’s 02 Arena on Saturday but due to Blink 182’s tour taking place at the same venue, Madonna wont have access until Friday, whereas she would usually practice at the arena a whole week before.

Madonna is making sure that she is fighting fit for the weekend after being forced to cancel the North American leg of her tour in June due to her illness.

On Monday nine Peloton exercise bikes were seen being delivered to the swanky Stock Exchange hotel where she is staying – costing a whopping £1,500 each.

The five star Manchester hotel is owned by former footballer Gary Neville and the Papa Don’t Preach hitmaker is believed to have hired the entire building out for herself and her entourage.

Other famous guests have included Dua Lipa, Mick Jagger, Pink and Shania Twain.

A source told The Sun: ‘Madonna is pulling out all the stops — a huge entourage, whole hotels, major venues for rehearsals for several days — nothing is being left to chance.

Madonna is preparing to go on her first tour in three years following a health scare this summer that put her in the hospital.

The tour will begin on October 14 in London – with the star playing three further dates on October 15, 17 and 18 at the 02 Arena.

Earlier last month, People claimed that the mother of six was very excited to hit the road to perform her new songs.

‘She returned to rehearsals last Monday. She’s so happy to be back onstage and is feeling strong,’ a source shared.

‘She’s working closely with her longtime collaborators, Jamie King and Stuart Price, to put the final touches on the show,’ says the source, adding that the run of shows is the icon’s ‘most ambitious tour ever.’
