The Grammy winner continued, 'I saw how the media treated people who gained and lost weight and how that affected my brain chemistry.'
And during a conversation with the New York Times, Lizzo told the outlet, 'I've been methodical, losing weight very slowly.'
In regards to shedding pounds, the star admitted, 'I don't really see it because if anyone who's on a natural weight-loss journey knows, losing weight is actually the slowest thing in the world and you don't really notice it until you notice it.'
The performer also admitted last year on the Just Trish podcast to trying out Ozempic and other GLP-1 medication to aid in her weight loss journey - but added that she no longer uses the drugs.

Earlier this month, The Truth Hurts singer gave another update to fans by revealing that she was two months sober from alcohol.
She reposted a clip to her Instagram stories which showed a ghoulish character as well as the text: 'When my [homegirls] think getting me drunk will be fun but I genuinely give off this vibe when drunk.'
At the bottom of the video, Lizzo added her own caption which read, '2 months no alcohol.'
