The ebullient social media offering comes after the Truth Hurts hitmaker shared the tragic news that her dog had passed away on Christmas Eve.
On December 25, accompanied by a heartfelt image featuring herself, Pooka, and her mother and sister, Lizzo shared the tribute, ‘Pooka Diamanté Jefferson, we will forever hold you in our hearts.’
The post also commemorated Pooka’s birthday on April 10, 2005.
In another post, Lizzo shared a series of photos of herself and Pooka through the 18 years they shared.
‘I’m not okay,’ she wrote. ‘I’m so heartbroken. RIP Pooka.’
Losing her pet is just another tough blow in what has been a challenging second half of 2023.
Lizzo has been caught up in legal fights with former staff who have accused her of misconduct, adding to the overall difficulty of the situation.
She faces lawsuits from multiple ex-dancers who claim to have experienced sexual harassment, fat shaming, and a hostile work environment during their time under her employment.

Two weeks ago, the singer’s legal team requested to dismiss the lawsuit filed by Asha Daniels in September in a Los Angeles court and claimed it was ‘meritless and salacious.’
Her attorney alleged that Daniels ‘failed to perform the work that she was assigned and, eventually, just played hooky and refused to show up for work.’
Lizzo’s legal team is pushing to dismiss the case, pointing to two key reasons: first, it was filed in the wrong jurisdiction, and second, Daniels, being a New York resident working for a Delaware corporation in Europe, supposedly has no substantial connection to California.
Daniels, the fashion designer, initiated a legal action against the celebrity, claiming that she endured physical and verbal mistreatment from her manager, Amanda Nomura, during her tenure with Lizzo.

The accusations mirrored those of three backup dancers who had filed a lawsuit against Lizzo a month before Asha, alleging sexual and racial harassment.
Crystal Williams (24), Noelle Rodriguez (25), and Arianna Davis (26) asserted that they were compelled to participate in demeaning performances and faced other uncomfortable situations while in the star’s employment.
Lizzo’s lawyer, Martin Singer, informed DailyMail.com that she intends to file counterclaims against the three women.
