Lindsay Lohan Returns to US Amid Crisis

Lohan relocated to Dubai over a decade earlier in 2014 following legal troubles and a life in the public eye. 

Last year during an appearance on Live With Kelly And Mark, the actress gave insight into her decision to permanently reside in Dubai. 

'It's just far away from Hollywood, and I live a very normal life,' she explained at the time. 

'There's no worry of like, "I can't go eat at this place 'cause someone's gonna take a picture of my son." I feel very safe.' 

And for her recent cover story for Vogue Arabia, the Freaky Friday star further talked about her life in Dubai. 

'Being in Dubai is very grounding. I get to just spend time with my family. The city gives me a sense of being with what's most important,' Lohan explained. 

She also got candid about having more privacy living in Dubai. 

'That's a big breath of fresh air, having to not overthink everything you do every second,' the actress expressed. 

Lohan had lived in other cities such as London before making the choice to relocate to the United Arab Emirates. 

'I wasn't having fun in the business anymore,' the mom-of-one also admitted to Vogue Arabia. 'I wasn't finding roles I loved. 

'It's not a life I wanted to live, you know? It's not a real life. It pushed me so far away that I moved to the other side of the world. And I'm so glad I followed my gut.'

Despite living far from Hollywood, Lohan has still followed her passion for acting in the industry. 

She recently reunited with Jamie Lee Curtis to star in the 2025 film Freakier Friday which is a sequel to the 2003 movie Freaky Friday. 

Lohan is set to appear alongside Shailene Woodley in the upcoming Hulu limited series Count My Lies, per Deadline. 

The pair are not only taking on major roles in the project, but are also both executive producers. 

Lohan's break out role was in the 1998 movie The Parent Trap and the actress got candid about growing up in the spotlight during her conversation with Vogue. 

'Now I look back and wonder, "Why didn't anyone just go and take me out of there, protect me more?" You don't know how to do that yourself when you're a teenager.'
