Lindsay Hubbard is opening up about her new life after shocking her fans with the news she is pregnant in a big July 4 announcement.
Since sharing the happy news with gorgeous photos from her maternity shoot, the 37-year-old Summer House star has opened up about her life and the father of her unborn child.
In an interview with People, the excited mom-to-be who went through the process of freezing her eggs for the camera, said her pregnancy was not planned but was happily welcomed.
‘To think where I was this time last year is insane to me,’ she told the outlet. ‘Looking back on it, it’s just so clear to me that the universe had a plan.
‘The journey is really just crazy,’ she said. ‘All of a sudden, for a girl who’s always wanted to be a mom, there I was at 37 years old, staring down the barrel of being single and questioning when dreams of having a family would happen.’

The split from former fiance Carl Radke, 39, led Hubbard back to an old beau.
‘And then this incredible man comes back into my life and next thing you know, I’m pregnant. It’s like the universe was saying, “See? This is the time. This it the guy. Now you’re ready.” I feel like my prayers were answered.’
Hubbard’s partner is a doctor who works in biotech investing and prefers to keep out of the public eye.

The couple had only been dating a few months when Hubbard discovered she was expecting.
The Hubb House Nashville founder shared the results of her at home pregnancy test results via her partnership with Clear Blue Easy Digital test, with the word ‘pregnant’ clearly showing.
Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to share the good news with her partner right away as she wanted to double check with a blood test at her doctor’s office. The results came through in her email while she was on a flight to Mexico for her best friend’s wedding.
‘My boyfriend wasn’t with me, so that was a little hard,’ she recalled. ‘That’s not something you want to tell someone in a text message or a phone call, so I went through the wedding weekend and then told him when I got back.’
‘Obviously, it was a surprise and a shock at first because we were not trying or even planning, but we had some honest conversations and it just felt so right for both of us,’ the influencer said.

‘We have a very loving, caring and healthy relationship. I finally feel like I met my match with him.’
Of her un-named beau’s future fatherhood, the 5’3″ beauty said, ‘He’s just so excited to be a dad and proud to be having a child with me.’
‘It just means the world to have someone like him by my side. And yes, it is a lot of pressure on a new relationship, but I think because he’s the right man because we are so bonded and connected and communicate very effectively with each other that it hasn’t felt like work.’
Looking back on her anxiety to become a mother, Hubbard admitted, ‘You know, I’ve almost made terrible mistakes in my past because of a biological clock that we naturally as women have, and this is the one time where it just all feels so right.’
Hubbard looking forward to welcoming her baby during the holiday season.
‘No one is ever truly ready when they’re having their first baby — mom friends of mine tell me that all the time, even those that were trying. It’s a learning curve!’ Hubbard said, adding, ‘But again, the timing for me is right. Everything that led up to this point, I can draw upon those experiences and I think they’ll help me be a better mom because of them.’
Positive thinking and belief if herself is what carried Hubbard after ending her engagement with Radke last year.
‘I have to tell you, even when everything was happening last year, I never gave up on love and I never gave up on the idea that I’d be a mom,’ she explained. ‘And that’s how I’ve always been: I just never allowed any past heartbreak to make me feel jaded about these dreams I’ve had. And that’s why I think it the universe took care of me; because I always believed it would happen.’
Hubbard shared more photos Friday writing, ‘Woke up this morning feeling so blessed and grateful for this journey. But most of all, I’m relieved and excited to finally be able to celebrate openly, and with the world.’

Hubbard wore the same Alice and Olivia white jacket with a navy blue bow and trim over her shirtless torso and of Zara jeans she wore when she made the initial announcement.
It’s unclear if Hubbard and her boyfriend are planning to tie the knot.
Viewers were able to see Hubbard’s relationship with former fiance Radke crumble on the May 30 Summer House season eight finale.
The two reality stars had intended to tie the knot in November 2023 before Radke called off the wedding in late August.
In June the reality star discussed the complex aftermath of her cancelled wedding to Radke, and how much money she lost in the process.
The reality star opened up about the bills the former pair still had to pay after Radke called off their wedding last year, and how they dealt with lawyers over the money, as she appeared on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast on Tuesday.
Hubbard stated that she specified to their wedding planners that it was Radke’s job to take care of cancelling the event.
‘I texted my wedding planner and the two wedding planners — like, one who was dealing with the hotel and reservations and one who was dealing with all the vendors and actual planning — and I said, please do not communicate with me about any of this,’ she said.
‘I told them that I was absolutely not figuring out the fallout of the wedding. Like, you canceled this, put on your big boy pants and figure it out yourself.’

Hubbard claims she lost about ‘$25,000 to $30,000 in wedding deposits before the cancellation.
‘Now, he had to pay a lot of cancellation fees, especially since he waited so long to call off the wedding. And, you know, the longer you wait with the hotel and the rooms, like, the less money you get back if you cancel the wedding,’ she added.
She was then asked if she wanted Radke to pay her back the money she lost, to which she replied, ‘Yeah, we dealt with a lot of… There was a lot of lawyer discussions.’
Fans who want to know more will have to wait a while. Season nine of Summer House is currently in production and is expected to premiere in February 2025.
