Lila Moss makes a chic statement in an oversized wool coat during Paris Fashion Week

Lila Moss cut an effortlessly stylish figure as she was spotted stepping out amid Paris Fashion Week on Monday.

The 21-year-old daughter of supermodel Kate Moss opted for all black as she wrapped up in an oversized wool coat.

Lila layered it over a sweater and trousers and slung a leather handbag over her shoulder.

The stunner accessorised with gold hoop earrings and despite the grey skies wore a pair of dark sunglasses on her head.

Lila recently told Vogue Spain about following in her mother’s footsteps and continuing the family saga: ‘When I was younger I didn’t consider it because my mother refused to let me go into the industry.

‘I think she didn’t want me to do it without first being sure that the people she knows and trusts were going to look out for me and make sure I was okay.

‘When she set up her agency [Kate Moss Agency was founded in 2016] she relaxed because she knew she was going to be able to oversee everything and they were going to look after me.

‘So I was like, “Now it makes sense.” When I was younger I fantasized that maybe someday I would participate in a photo shoot, but I never thought I would be able to do some of the things I’ve done already.’

Lila continued: ‘I don’t think I’m mature for my age, but I am very shy. I don’t have a lot of self-confidence when it comes to meeting new people and hanging out with people who are older than me.

‘I become quite introverted and withdraw into myself, but yes, maybe I am more responsible than my mother was at my age.

‘I grew up seeing how demanding this profession is and how much you have to travel alone. The people she worked with became her family because she saw them so often. I saw how they bonded and that’s nice.’

Lila’s mother Kate – now aged 50 – had wild youthful heyday, when a cigarette was almost permanently dangling from her lips.

Back in her 20s and 30s and at the peak of her desirability as a model, her beauty regime was virtually confined to a habit of plunging that lovely face into a basin of iced water to clear the head after a heavy night out. She never exercised.

She recently spoke about following in her mother's footsteps and continuing the family saga: 'When I was younger I didn't consider it because my mother refused to let me go into the industry

In contrast with sensible Lila, Kate’s 21st birthday was deemed one of the most infamous of all time, at notorious LA night-spot the Viper Rooms. It was organised by then boyfriend Johnny Depp.

And the late INXS frontman Michael Hutchence performed with Depp supporting him on guitar.

Kate has now left the raucous North London scene of her 20s and 30s, and now settled in a honey-coloured Grade II-listed mansion in the Cotswolds as she tries on the rather less glamorous outfit of a wellness entrepreneur for size.

Sober since 2018, barring a few slips that serve only to remind us she is human, her new life is not one the old Kate would recognise. A formerly close pal, who has been totally cast aside over the past few years, says acidly: ‘The new Kate is a horrible bore.’
