Liam Gallaghers Mum Tells Him to Behave

has revealed his mum told him to 'behave' after he previously ridiculed the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Oasis are among the Brits to be inducted at this year's ceremony, despite Liam previously mocking the award.

Asked by a fan why his opinion changed, he said on X: 'Well I was speaking to my mummy last night when the news broke and she thinks I may have been a little hasty.

'She's told me to stop being a d*** and go to the awards and behave and "you never know you might enjoy it".'

Questioned if his brother Noel will be there, Liam wrote: 'We're both going. We're sooooo proud and humble.'

Insisting he is a 'humble and proud' musician, Liam told fans he will be apologising to organisers in his speech for the previous ridicule.

'Well I’ll obv bring a box of chocolates and flowers and apologise to the organisers for my ignorance', he wrote.

Singer-songwriter Liam, 51, previously ridiculed the accolade after the band was announced to be in the running in 2024. 

'F*** the Rock n Roll hall of fame its full of BUMBACLARTS,' he wrote on X, before adding: 'I don't need some w*** award by some geriatric in a cowboy hat.'

But, he appears to have changed his tune since finding out about Oasis' induction, which comes a few moths after his brother Noel, 58, was awarded songwriter of the year at the .

Acknowledging his past criticisms, Liam posted on X this morning: 'Reverse psychology vibes in the area Oasis RnR hall of farmers I mean famers.'

'I wanna thank all the people who voted for us it’s a real honour ever since I was a little kid and singing in the shower I’d dream about 1 day being in the RnR hall of fame it’s true what they say anything is possible if you have a dream LG x,' he added.

The Brit pop icons, who reunited for a sell out tour last year, will be honoured this year along with five other British entries, including Sade, Billy Idol and Joy Division and New Order, who share a single nomination.

The 2026 honourees, who are voted in by than 1,200 artists, historians and music industry professionals, were announced by Ryan Seacrest during an episode of on Tuesday.

Collins' 2026 induction will be his second, having previously been honoured as a member of Genesis in 2010.

Joy Division and New Order share a single induction, with the latter formed by the remaining members after the 1980 death of Joy Division lead singer Ian Curtis.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame chairman John Sykes said: 'Induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is music's highest honour.

'We look forward to celebrating these remarkable artists at this year's ceremony - it's going to be an unforgettable night.'

Among the honourees this year are Wu-Tang Clan, Queen Latifah, Luther Vandross and Latin superstar Celia Cruz.

British representation was more limited in 2025, with Bad Company and Joe Cocker among the few UK acts honoured.

Artists are eligible for inclusion in the hall 25 years after releasing their first commercial recording.

Joy Division, Oasis and Billy Idol were among last year's nominees who failed to make the cut.

The 2026 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place in Los Angeles in November, before debuting on Disney+ in December.
