Lenny Hochstein has filed a defamation lawsuit against his estranged wife Lisa Hochstein.
The Real Housewives of Miami alum, 57, filed the suit after the reality star, 41, posted a photo of a bruise on her arm and hinted that he had abused her.
According to court documents obtained by DailyMail.com, Lenny filed a civil suit on Friday, and is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 as well as attorneys’ fees.
In the lawsuit Lenny denies the abuse claims and alleges that Lisa got the bruise after she ‘lost her balance’ while walking upstairs as they were having an argument.
DailyMail.com has reached out to representatives for Lisa for comment.

‘It came about because [Lisa] as usual was yelling at and berating [Lenny] when he came home from work, as she did almost daily telling him how he never does anything right, so [Lenny] attempted to walk away and started walking up the stairs and [Lisa] walked in front of [him] going backwards up the stairs so she could continue yelling in [his] face and [she] lost her balance and fell on a stair,’ the filing stated.
‘[Lisa’s] lies of abuse are not a surprise to [Lenny] as [Lisa] stated publicly that she needs to retaliate against [her ex] for what [Lisa] claims is harassment,’ the document goes on.
‘Yet [Lenny] is not harassing [Lisa] but rather presenting the truth which [Lisa] does not like.’
Lenny also released a statement about the situation in which he denounced domestic violence.
‘I am opposed to all forms of violence, especially against women. Domestic violence in intimidate relationships is a serious issue in our society and it’s victims deserve protection and a safe space to speak out.
‘Unfortunately Lisa has taken it upon herself to discredit and mock actual victims of domestic violence by taking it upon herself to post pictures of a self-inflicted bruise, claiming that I was responsible for it.’
‘I have retained an attorney and filed a lawsuit to protect myself against this defamation. A highly credible forensic pathologist already investigated the case and confirmed that Lisa did not get the bruise as a result of any alleged violent dispute.’
In the documents Lenny also accuses Lisa of cheating on him with her current boyfriend, Jody Glidden, calling her the ‘real “homewrecker” of Miami’.

Last week he denied the claims and insisted he had never physically abused his estranged wife ‘or any woman for that matter in my life’
The lawsuit comes just days after Lisa shared a photo to her Instagram Story that showed a bruise on her arm, along with a pointed caption.
‘Didn’t want to have to share this. But I’m left with no choice,’ she wrote in the photograph.
‘I’m being threatened and harassed through the court system and through “others” by Lenny and it needs to stop.
‘This was almost 2 weeks old from last season. You may have caught this bruise on the episode when I opened up to the women on the show about the divorce.’
Lenny denied abusing his estranged wife, and in a statement shared exclusively with DailyMail.com, he claimed Lisa incurred the bruise after falling on a staircase in their home.
Lenny, who has been embroiled in an ugly divorce from Lisa for over a year, also insisted he had never physically abused his estranged wife ‘or any woman for that matter in my life.’
‘As I tried to walk upstairs, she walked ahead of me, for some reason she decided to walk backwards on the staircase so she could continue to yell at me to my face.’
‘She fell and landed on her left upper arm. I have never physically, abused, Lisa, or any woman for that matter in my life. I am against all forms of violence, especially against women.’

‘Lisa is aware of this and the fact that she would even imply that I had anything to do with this proves just exactly what kind of person she is.’
This is not the first time claims of physical abuse have surfaced during the couple’s bitter divorce proceedings.
In previous court documents, Lenny accused Lisa of pushing and verbally assaulting him during a dispute at their $10million Star Island mansion.
Lisa and the plastic surgeon tied the knot in 2009. He filed for divorce from Lisa in October 2022.
That same month he went public with girlfriend Katharina Mazepa, to whom he proposed to in July.
Lisa has alleged that Mazepa was Lenny’s ‘mistress,’ which he denied, saying they began dating after he and Lisa were already separated.
Lisa and Lenny share son Logan, 8, and daughter Elle, 4. In April, Lenny was ordered to pay Lisa $8,000 a month in temporary support.
However, on August 10 he filed an emergency petition in court to withdraw his divorce settlement, according to Page Six. The exes had previously agreed on the settlement.

In one of the filings, Lenny’s attorney noted that he had moved to withdraw the settlement in ‘anticipation’ of Lisa turning it down.
Despite his filings seeming to indicate that he and Lisa were continuing to work out a more equitable settlement, a source close to the former couple described his latest moves as another attempt to harm Lisa by extending their gruelling divorce proceedings.
The source claimed that he was withdrawing the settlement to drag out the legal process in an effort to ‘bankrupt’ her with escalating legal fees.
They also alleged that he was trying to get her to sign a new ‘low-ball’ settlement.
