Layton Williams responds to online bullying after Strictly Come Dancing appearances: ‘Please, just stop’

Layton Williams hit back at a cruel troll on Saturday who has been harassing him since his time on Strictly Come Dancing, saying: ‘Oh f*** off Dave.’

The Strictly finalist, 29, was responding to Dave’s Instagram DM which read: ‘Then why are you all over social media and the press complaining that you didn’t win?’

Layton, who was paired with pro Nikita Kuzmin on the BBC programme, shared the interaction to his Instagram Story with the caption: ‘And to anyone else who is still mad literally just leave me alone.’

In another Story, he posted a selfie with the caption: ‘Btw l’m good. Happy, Hanging & Heading Home! Enjoying some downtime, freedom & soon come a much needed holiday.

‘Love & light to you all (Apart from people like Dave, you lot can [middle finger emoji]).’

Layton and Nikita consistently impressed the judges with their intricate dances and scored numerous tens, and the final was no exception.

However, many fans refused to give Layton his flowers as they believed his musical theatre career gave him an unfair advantage.

Layton touched on the disproportionate criticism he had received compared to other celebrity contestants with professional experience.

Speaking before the final, he said: ‘I am definitely not the first person to be in this position and I don’t understand why it’s shock horror news because I’m not the first and won’t be the last, let’s keep it moving, you know?

‘From the very beginning, I’ve been like, cool, if people are going to expect a certain level, let’s give them that and then some.’

The Bad Education star earned his place in the final alongside soap stars Bobby Brazier and Ellie Leach, the latter of whom came out on top.

Meanwhile, his dance partner Nikita has been enjoying some quality time with his girlfriend on the other side of the world.

Nikita has previously defended his firm friend Layton against relentless trolls such as Dave.
