Paul, 31, who first found fame as a influencer before starring on Hulu's record-breaking reality series , will front the next season of the long-running dating competition.
Johnson's inclusion on The Bachelorette is awkward given that Del Rey is a self-professed superfan of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
In fact, the songstress even appeared on season three of the Hulu series, where she filmed with some of the cast members after her performance at the Stagecoach music festival.
Del Rey is also a huge fan of franchise and in a 2022 interview she named it as her favorite TV show.

Before their split, Johnson briefly collaborated with Del Rey on one of the songs from her Blue Bannisters album.
Johnson, who is based in Nashville, got his start in the industry as a model before launching his own music career as a country singer and guitarist.
Although he only boasts 50,000 monthly listeners on Spotify compared to Del Rey's 66 million, Johnson has managed to work consistently as a musician and has performed with the likes of Sabrina Carpenter and Scotty McCreery.
Last year, he released his first ep titled Live to Learn.

The pair got engaged a few months after meeting, but called off their engagement less than a year later and went their separate ways.

In 2024, she finally settled on divorced father-of-three Dufrene and the pair tied the knot in a Louisiana wedding.

The home is featured in Del Rey's new music video White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter, which is about her relationship with Dufrene.
'I know you wish you had a man like him, it's such a bummer,' she croons in the lyrics.
'I love my daddy, of course we're still together,' she adds.
Elsewhere in the song, the Summertime Sadness hitmaker sings about how much she loves cooking for her husband.
Del Rey previously released two other tracks - Bluebird and Henry, Come On - off her upcoming 10th studio album, Stove, which is said to be released on May 22.

She has known Dufrene as far back as 2019 when he let her steer his vessel during a cruise with Arthur's Airboat Tours.
'Like many people who work with large, dangerous beasts, Jeremy has a calm, strong presence,' the brunette bombshell told W Magazine last August.
'When we met, I realized pretty immediately that I loved him, but that it might get difficult because of what I was bringing to the table.'
The next season of The Bachelorette is set to premiere on March 22
