Lady Gaga is set to return to the big screen this year on the coveted role of Harley Quinn in the highly anticipated Joker sequel.
Speaking about the role with People magazine, the 38-year-old dropped a few hints about what fans can expect to see.
‘My version of Harley is mine and it’s very authentic to this movie and these characters, and I don’t want to give anything from the movie away,’ she said.
‘I think it’s really something you have to experience in the theater.’
The Born This Way hitmaker also indicated that the movie will make use of her many skills as a musician and performer.

‘My version of Harley is mine and it’s very authentic to this movie and these characters, and I don’t want to give anything from the movie away,’ she said
‘This film has music, it has dance, it has amazing acting in it,’ she explained.
‘What I will say is that I’ve never done anything like I’ve done in this movie before, so it’s all going to be completely brand new and really fun.’
The upcoming Joaquin Phoenix-starring supervillain movie has officially been given an R rating ahead of its release.
Joker: Folie à Deux was given the rating by The Motion Picture Association for ‘some strong violence, language throughout, some sexuality, and brief full nudity.’
The sequel to the 2019 smash-hit feature Joker will follow in the footsteps of its predecessor, which was also given an R rating.
A poster for the feature shows the Joker, played by Joaquin Phoenix in a tuxedo, and Harley, portrayed by Gaga, decked out in an elegant white gown, as they dance under a spotlight.
Directed by Todd Phillips, who also made the first film, Joker: Folie à Deux is slated for a theatrical release on October 4 this year.

Rumors have been circulating for over a year that the new Joker movie would be a musical, in spite of the fact that its predecessor was not.
Last month insiders told Variety the film would be ‘mostly a jukebox musical,’ meaning the songs will not be original but will be taken from other sources.
The movie is said to contain new renditions of at least 15 ‘very well-known’ numbers, including the Judy Garland classic That’s Entertainment from The Band Wagon.
Gaga previously followed in Judy Garland’s footsteps when she played the female lead in the 2018 film A Star Is Born, co-starring and directed by Bradley Cooper.
In the previous versions of A Star Is Born, Gaga’s role was played first by Janet Gaynor, then by Judy and then by Barbra Streisand.
