But a source has revealed the real reason the 28-year-old makeup mogul and 30-year-old actor – – have not gone to the event together in their three-year relationship.
Jenner has 'intentionally avoided' attending the gala with Chalamet for a superstitious reason.
'Kylie and Timothee intentionally avoided attending the Met Gala together these past few years because they didn’t want to risk the whole "Met Gala curse" thing,' an insider told Page Six.
The person explained, 'Kylie was especially superstitious about it after going to the Met with Travis [Scott] in 2018 and 2019 before they eventually split.'

A source has revealed the real reason Kylie Jenner and boyfriend Timothee Chalamet have not attended the Met Gala together in their three-year relationship
Instead of accompanying his girlfriend during fashion's biggest night last Monday, the Marty Supreme star attended a New York Knicks basketball game.
The reality television star 'just didn’t want that kind of bad luck attached to their relationship and wasn’t willing to take any chances,' the insider told Page Six about her choice to attend the annual extravaganza alone.
Jenner and ex-boyfriend Scott, 35, had an on–off relationship that began in 2017 and ended – seemingly for good – in early 2023.
They share daughter Stormi, eight, and son Aire, four.
While the twosome only started attending public events together more than two years into their relationship, they have not explicitly posted each other online.
They made their red carpet debut at the 70th David Di Donatello Awards in May 2025.
When he was profiled in a November cover story for Vogue, the Call Me By Your Name star turned down the opportunity to speak about the relationship.

He established a boundary, saying he 'will not talk about' it, but clarified, 'I don’t say that with any fear, I just don’t have anything to say.'
However, at the 2026 Critics' Choice Awards in January, Chalamet made his most open profession about his girlfriend in his acceptance speech.
'Thank you to my partner of three years. Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn't do this without you,' he effused.
