Kyle Sandilands Sparks Media Scramble Outside Court

was at the centre of chaotic scenes outside a court on Friday when a photographer came a cropper in the middle of a media scrum.

The 54-year-old was heading into proceedings concerning his lawsuit against his former employer, ARN, when a female snapper attempted to take his picture.

Positioning herself in front of the radio star, she walked backwards into a plastic T-Top bollard, which sent her flying.

A video shared on the So Sydney! site shows a shocked Kyle reach out to steady the shaken photographer, who managed to remain upright after regaining her footing.

'I'm always saving one of you guys,' Kyle joked before heading up the steps into the Federal Court.

Kyle appeared before Justice Angus Stewart for a case management hearing to confirm trial dates and set deadlines for evidence.

It comes after a recent report claiming Kyle will be back on air in just weeks.

Kyle is reportedly in talks with ARN to return to his breakfast show as his $100million lawsuit moves toward a settlement.

'It will all be wrapped up soon. It will end up just sorting itself out, and it will take two to three weeks max,' the source tells news.com.au.

The source adds that Kyle, 'would go back' to his show and has 'no hard feelings' about the headline-making bust-up with Jackie that saw him ousted from his top-rated show.

'It is just business' to the one-time ratings king, the source alleged; however, it's unknown if he will accept less than the $10million-a-year deal he was on before the show's collapse.

It comes days after claims that Sandilands is open to a settlement with ARN as court dates loom for both him and his former co-host.

A source told news.com.au that Sandilands is eager to avoid a drawn-out trial and would consider a 'reasonable' offer from his former employer.

'If there was a reasonable figure that made him feel like he didn't get totally f***ed over… yeah,' the source said.
