has been holed up in his Vaucluse palace with wife and son Otto for weeks amid the media storm surrounding his sacking from KIIS FM.
But as paparazzi swarm his home trying to sniff out the latest update in his legal saga with the Australian Radio Network, another mansion in his name is sitting empty.
Four minutes down the road, on a quiet, leafy street, lies a mansion that has been left derelict for two years since Sandilands, 54, purchased it for $14million in late 2023.
Sandilands - whose $100million radio contract was ripped up this week after an alleged breach, which he intends to vigorously contest in court - splashed millions on the trophy home soon after signing his record-breaking 10-year deal with ARN.
At the time, publicly available real-estate listings for the four-bedroom, four-bathroom 'grand family residence' showed the house in pristine condition.
A crystal-clear swimming pool with a cascading spa overlooked a breathtaking view of the harbour.

The entry level features a spacious entertainment deck flowing into an open-plan dining and living area.
The master bedroom, with an ensuite and walk-in wardrobe, sits on the same floor as two other bedrooms, while a fourth is downstairs.
But although the layout remains unchanged since Kyle bought the property, its condition has noticeably declined.
But our photos of the home, taken on Tuesday, show the rear wooden deck rotting and peeling away.
The pool, once a refreshing clear blue, now resembles a swamp with brown water and debris from nearby trees floating in it.
A level up, the hot tub fares no better, with its white tiles now stained brown with dirt and grime.
Through the dirty windows, carpet can be seen moulding and peeling off the floorboards, while the driveway looks like it hasn't been cleaned or swept for months.
However, while the home may appear forgotten, Sandilands' business manager Bruno Bouchet assures the Daily Mail his client has plans for the Vaucluse mansion.

'Many staff found out through social media instead of an official statement. It wasn't until after the news broke that staff were advised officially,' an insider told News Corp.
