Khloe Kardashian admitted she once slapped her ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson while being serenaded by a famous male musician in a romantic gesture gone wrong.

The reality TV star, 41, recalled the 'mortifying' moment on the latest episode of her Khloe In Wonder Land podcast, telling fans that it occurred 'years ago' during a tense time in her relationship with Thompson, 34.

The NBA player, 34, was repeatedly unfaithful over the course of his and Kardashian's rocky six-year romance, during which they welcomed two children: daughter True, seven, and son Tatum, three.

Kardashian said that Thompson had arranged for the singer Giveon, who is now an eight-time Grammy nominee, to perform for her in an attempt to woo her at a time when she admittedly 'hated' him.

'This was years ago. Tatum wasn't born. Yeah, it was just True,' explained Kardashian, which places the events before Tatum's November 2021 birth.

While Giveon, who was not as famous at the time, sang his heart out for the couple, Kardashian said she began to get 'annoyed' with Thompson.

'I remember I hated Tristan and I was like, "Why are you doing this?" And Giveon is pouring his heart out,' she recalled.

Kardashian then began 'slapping' Thompson when he tried to cozy up to her during the performance.

'And Tristan's trying to sit next to me and I'm like, slapping him, and poor Giveon is still singing,' she said, adding, 'It was mortifying.'

In an attempt to ease the tension in the room, Kardashian said she left to go find their daughter.

'I was like, "God, this guy is such a great singer. I love this guy." And I remember going inside to get True.'

Kardashian explained she felt she needed 'a third person' between herself and Thompson to create some space.

'I was so annoyed with Tristan.'

Kardashian and Thompson dated sporadically between 2016 and 2021, with the relationship buffeted by his repeated cheating scandals.

Less than 48 hours before their daughter True was born, The Daily Mail exclusively broke news of Thompson's alleged fling with New York City strip club bartender Lani Blair. 

He and Kardashian remained together then, but broke up in 2019 after Thompson shared a kiss at a party with Kylie Jenner's then best friend Jordyn Woods.

When the coronavirus lockdowns struck, Thompson and Kardashian moved in together so they could both be with True - and wound up rekindling their romance as well.

Reports of their latest split began circulating in June 2021 as Thompson found himself denying a swirl of rumors about his fidelity.

Then The Daily Mail exclusively obtained court documents in late 2021 claiming Tristan was having a baby by fitness trainer Maralee Nichols.

Nichols gave birth on December 1 that year and released a statement a couple of weeks later along with the first public pictures of her son.

Thompson fired up his Instagram in January 2022 and confessed for the first time that he was the father of Nichols' baby, having established the fact via a paternity test.

An emotional Kardashian was seen breaking down in tears as she slammed Thompson for 'humiliating' her with another public scandal.

'I called him and was just like, what have you got to say? It was more yelling on my end, but him talking, trying to plead his case. There's not much to talk about in my opinion,' Kardashian said later in the episode.

'It's a joke, it's gross, it's a joke, it's embarrassing, it's disgusting, we're all over it. I'm like, I didn't buy tickets to this f***ing circus but somehow I'm watching all these clowns act out in front of me,' she added.

'I want a refund, return to sender, I don't want to be at this show. Somehow the clowns keep coming back in this f***ing clown car and no matter what he says nothing's going to give me the answers that I'm looking for, the closure.'

'Tristan and I, we have a good co-parenting relationship,' she said.

'I think what I find so funny is that people are always like, "How do you let Tristan back in?" And I'm like, "Well, Tristan's not back in,"' she added.

'He's just the father of my kids, so he's going to be around his kids and I'm really grateful that he is.'

The star said, 'I love that he has a great relationship with his kids. I think that's a beautiful blessing and I'm never going to get in the way of that.

'I think it's so important for that relationship to maintain and be as strong as possible.'
