Montell Jordan is officially cancer-free after being diagnosed in both 2024 and then again in 2025 with prostate cancer.

On February 4 he shared with his Instagram followers: 'I am undetected and healed from cancer. I have no plans for a repeat visit. 2x survivor.'
Montell was diagnosed with stage 1 prostate cancer in early 2024 following a routine Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) test. Then he had a radical prostatectomy, which was successful, the site reported.
A year later, however, cancer was seen in his lymph nodes when he had a routine follow-up scan. It was deemed 'aggressive' stage 2 prostate cancer.
The star underwent radiation treatment. Then he got the amazing news in December 2025 that he was cancer free.

Now the 57-year-old R&B singer is talking his victory with People. 'Christmas Day we found out that we are undetected, cancer-free,' Montell told the site. 'We're finally at an all-clear and I feel fantastic.'
'Following the roller coaster ride of becoming a two-time cancer survivor, standing in my home on Christmas Day, surrounded by my kids and my grandkids, to get the call on that morning was surreal,' he added.
'It's almost like it's still unbelievable that we're at this place right now, but we're just super, super grateful.'
'The best Christmas ever,' his wife Kristin said.

Now he is careful with his diet.
'Everything that we do, we have to do in tandem and in unison in order for it to last,' she shared.
'We better take care of these temples that we have because we only get one, right? So for us, those lifestyle changes helped in our journey, but they will help limit us from having other sickness or other issues further down the line.'
Montell and his wife told the site that their relationship is now even stronger after his cancer battle.

'We want to be resources to the world,' Montell said. 'We love allowing the journey we've been on to be a public display of God's goodness and of us applying the tools that we've learned along the way to having a great happily forever after that's not just for us, but we wanna share that information with the rest of the world so that they can help preserve their family legacy as well.'
