Bob Saget’s widow has pushed back against people trying to tell her how to live her life.
Kelly Rizzo, 44, who has been dating actor Breckin Meyer, 49, took to social media Monday to tell followers how she sees the situation.
‘The vast, vast, vast majority of all of the comments and feedback and support and everything I’ve gotten since Bob passed, 99 percent has been positive and lovely and wonderful,’ said the Eat Travel Rock host at the beginning of the four minute, 30 second video.
‘But there are some people who just LOVE to talk when it comes to dating after your spouse passes away.’
The Comfort Food with Kelly Rizzo podcast host appeared makeup free and wore a large tan and black sweater over a gray T-shirt.

‘I’ll start by saying, unless you are a widow or a widower, you truly have absolutely no place and no right to comment on this because you do not know what it’s like.’
Bob Saget died at the age of 65 in January 2022 in Orlando, after falling down in his hotel and suffering a head trauma. Rizzo and Saget met in 2015 and married in 2018.
The travel host said it took her more than a year after The Full House star passed away to feel comfortable with the idea of dating and she didn’t begin seeing other people until 18 months after her husband’s death, but needed support to make the next step.
‘In my situation, it was Bob’s daughters, Bob’s friends,’ she explained. ‘They were saying, “It’s OK.” So I’m like, “OK, it must be OK.”‘
Saget shared three daughters, Aubrey, Lara and Jennifer, with his former wife, screenwriter Sherri Kramer.
Speaking to those who may have been dealing with the same ‘incredibly complex and difficult and dynamic thoughts and feelings that come up during this entire process,’ she stated, ‘there is absolutely no room for judgement.’
‘Everyone goes through it differently, and it is very personal, and whether somebody moves on a month after or 10 years after, it does not diminish or takeaway from the love and the relationship that you had with your partner.’
She later opened up about her relationship with Meyer.

The pair made their debut as a couple at a Grammys viewing party in February.
‘I was concerned about how I could move on and find someone who appreciates what I went through and understands that Bob is always going to be a part of my life,’ she explained.
Although she did not mention Meyer by name, she said ‘I’m very fortunate that I was able to find someone who holds space for that and appreciates it and gets it and is strong enough and confident enough to know that Bob’s always going to be a part of my life’.
She said the Happily actor, a divorced dad of two adult daughters, ‘always asks questions about [Saget] and keeps him part of the conversation, and that means so much to me, because I knew I was going to have to find somebody who just got it.’
