Kelly Clarkson previously claimed she cut back on carbs to help lose weight.
But alcohol is clearly still on the menu, with the singer-turned-presenter downing rum straight from the bottle during her chat show on Monday – much to the delight of her studio audience.
The Because of You hitmaker, 42, was midway through an interview with country singer Kenny Chesney, 56, when they were presented with two glasses of his key lime flavored Blue Chair Bay rum to sample.
‘Are you going to drink it?’ Kenny asked, to which Kelly replied: ‘I felt like it was rude if I didn’t try it.’
But the American Idol star was not a fan of the amount of water in the glasses.

‘Wait, it hasn’t been watered down, has it?’ she asked, before quickly reaching for the bottle and unscrewing the lid.
‘Well, I can fix that,’ she continued. ‘I want to know what it tastes like, and I can’t do it via all that [water]. I can’t!’
‘It smells nice,’ Kelly observed as she took a whiff of the spirit before adding. ‘I don’t know if we can do that on daytime.’
But before she could stop herself, Kelly, who showed off her slimmed down figure in a mini skirt and red top, poured the bottle down her throat as Kenny pointed out: ‘You already did it.’
The audience immediately burst into applause over the presenter’s ballsy move – and were audibly entertained by her nonchalance.
‘Oh, that is dangerous!’ Kelly said, giving her honest review of the rum before slowly lifting the bottle up to her mouth for another taste.
Kenny is Blue Chair Bay’s sole owner and chief creative officer.
The rum – which is available in an array of different flavors from coconut, banana, and vanilla – is made in the Caribbean.

Before taking a swig of the spirit, Kelly joked: ‘I don’t know if we can do that on daytime!’
Speaking about the blending process, he told Kelly: ‘Here’s the thing, when I first made my rum company I had to go to Barbados to the distillery and taste it.
‘And they were like “Well, what you want it to taste like?” And so we had a doctors jacket on and they had to wear a cap almost like a chemistry lab.’
Last month, Kelly admitted she used a weight loss drug to slim down after previously insisting her dramatic transformation was the result of ‘walking’ more and cutting back on carbs.
The Fort Worth, Texas-born star – who was at the center of speculation about her rapid weight loss for months – said that doctors prescribed her with a medication after a blood test.
She insisted she didn’t use Ozempic, but did not reveal which drug she used instead.
‘Mine is a different one than people assume, but I ended up having to do that too,’ Kelly told Whoopi Goldberg.

The popstar, who shares daughter River Rose, nine, and son Remington Alexander, seven, with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, 47, said that her physician insisted she take the medication after repeated efforts to get her on it.
‘My doctor chased me for like two years,’ she said. ‘And I was like, “No, I’m afraid of it. I already have thyroid problems, I was afraid.”‘
Kelly said the medication she takes is ‘something that aids in helping break down the sugar,’ as her ‘body doesn’t do it right.’
The hitmaker, presumably speaking about how she didn’t notice that she had progressively gained weight, said that she was taken aback when watching herself on camera at one point and seeing her drastic transformation.
