rarely makes any comments about his girlfriend Alexandra Grant, whom he began dating seven years ago.

But on Saturday the 61-year-old Matrix actor opened his heart when talking about the 53-year-old visual artist.

While at the 2026 MOCA Gala held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles on Saturday, he revealed that Grant is an 'easy woman to love' when speaking with People.

Grant also had something to say about her romance with the Hollywood actor before she planted a kiss on him.

When asked if their love has changed her art work, she said, 'That's a big question. I would say that all painting is autobiographical, even though maybe even in abstraction it doesn't look like there's a big narrative, but I would definitely say that my paintings become happier.'

When Reeves was asked if his love for Grant has changed his work he said, 'I don't know if it has.'

Reeves did say that he loves being around Grant's artist pals at the MOCA gala.

'I mean, it's just seeing a lot of friends, and what I love about this gala is that a lot of artists are here, as well as the people who support them,' he shared.

Grant and Reeves have been romantically linked since 2019.

They first connected on a professional level with the book Ode to Happiness, which Reeves wrote and Grant illustrated. They co-founded a publishing house and went public with their relationship two years later.

This comes days after Grant talked about her beau at a launch event for her new wine brand, LOVE Wine, L.A., on Thursday.

The 'key' to striking a balance is 'the mutual respect,' she said, adding, 'Every project has its own autonomy, its own team, it has its own sort of rules, and it has a beginning, middle and end. So we both are people who do projects, and you know, I've lived with John Wick, I've lived with Neo.'

Grant, for her part, said that her art work has become 'happier' since dating Reeves

Their chemistry was palpable as they laughed during the reception

John Wick is one of Reeves' biggest franchises while Neo is his character from the Matrix movies.

'When he's in a character, for example, I have so much respect for that understanding that this is the middle to the end of a project, right? And I think the same goes for painting,' she said.

'When I'm in painter mode, I am in it,' she added. 'I'm fully in it, and it's not playing a character, but it is performing, you know, painting really is a form of performance too.'
