Katie Holmes has revealed that she still ‘keeps in touch’ with Dawson’s Creek cast but admitted she didn’t know she was in a WhatsApp group with them as she ‘never checks’ her messages.
The actress, 45, starred as Joey Potter in the much-loved television series which ran from 1998 to 2003.
Speaking to The Times she reacted to be told her former co-star Joshua Jackson is part of the group with her to which she responded: ‘Um … really? No! All of us text every now and then, but I wasn’t aware of the WhatsApp.
‘But you know what? I’m really bad at WhatsApp. I never check it because it’s a little too much. I mean, every now and then. Everyone’s grown up and is busy, but the bond will for ever be there.’
Joshua, 45, played her love interest Pacey Witter in the show.

Elsewhere in the chat she revealed the one thing she stole from the set of the popular television series.
She revealed: ‘I did. I kept the sneakers that she wore in the first episode of the first season. They were little black and white sneakers that I thought embodied the character.’
Elsewhere Katie revealed that her 18-year-old daughter Suri often steals her clothes as she spoke in the rare interview on Sunday.
The fashion icon – who shares Suri with her ex husband Tom Cruise, 61, – admitted that ‘basics’ in her wardrobe ‘definitely disappear’ sometimes.
She added that although her teen will sometimes want to borrow some pieces from time to time – she still ‘has her own sense of style’.
When asked by if she hopes to pass down her wardrobe to Suri she said: ‘Um, sure. I mean, I’ve saved some things here and there. But she has her own sense of style and her own expressions.’
Suri currently has the summer off before heading to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the fall to study at Carnegie Mellon University.
Despite hailing from two of the biggest stars on the globe, Suri does not seem to want to go down the path that so many Hollywood nepo babies have trod by forging her own career on the big or small screen.

Suri will be graduating from high school this month and then preparing for college at in the fall where she’s reportedly leaning towards studying fashion.
Carnegie Mellon’s School of Design is one of the oldest and most highly ranked programs in the country.
One insider told DailyMail.com: ‘She is a smart girl, and she is turning into a very intelligent mature young woman. She has a very close group of loyal friends, and she knows exactly where she comes from.’
But though Holmes is proud of her daughter’s stellar achievement, sources say she is ‘overwhelmed’ at the thought of sending her little girl off to college.
Speaking recently, one told DailyMail.com: ‘Katie takes great pride in her but is also extremely overprotective.’

While Suri may not have crystalized all of her plans for the future just yet, one thing about her future is clear: her dad scientologist Tom will have no part in it.
‘Suri will not have any contact with her father, despite being 18, and even if he called, she would not answer,’ a source previously told DailyMail.com.
‘He does not exist to Katie or Suri, and his daughter does not want to rely on him for anything. She feels that she has one parent and that is her mother.’
Suri celebrated her 18th birthday in April, which means the Top Gun star will no longer be required to pay child support to Katie, a sum that reportedly amounted to a hefty $400,000 a year.
