Kate Hudson teased the imminent release of her second single, Live Forever, as well as its cover art, which pictured her alongside her daughter Rani Rose Fujikawa.
In addition to sharing a precious shot of her giving her little girl, five, a kiss inside a horse stable, the 44-year-old Oscar nominee, who released her debut song earlier this year, announced that she was ‘excited to let’ fans ‘know a new song is coming.’
‘When I wrote the song I didn’t realize it would take me a while to be able to sing the song all the way through without crying,’ she captioned her post on Sunday afternoon.
Despite initially having a challenging time surprising her emotions in the studio, she said she ‘pulled it off and can’t wait to share’ the single with the world.

‘You’ll see why soon,’ she teased, before revealing Live Forever comes out on March 28 and is available to pre-save.
Celebrity makeup artist, Debra Ferullo, who did Hudson’s makeup at the 35th Annual GLAAD Media Awards earlier this month, commented: ‘To all the mums out there….bring your tissues. It’s a beautiful tearjerker and probably my favorite song.’
Under the post, Paris Hilton commented a single smiling face emoji with heart-shaped eyes.
Hudson officially dropped the debut single, Talk About Love, in January. She co-wrote the song with Linda Perry as well as fiancé, Danny Fujikawa.
While talking to People in an article published on Saturday, the beauty opened up about stepping into the music industry and writing songs for her upcoming album.
‘It’s really fun. I’m really enjoying it. The writing process was the most important and cathartic for me,’ she expressed to the outlet.
‘I wrote the songs, so they’re very personal, and each one is a different kind of expression of myself. Every [song] will feel different, but obviously, I think, very authentic to me.’
The album is set to release later this year – although a set date has yet to be announced. In the meantime, she explained that she has been busy making accompanying music videos for some of the tracks.

‘I’m right now looking at doing a couple of different music videos, and the fashion in each of them are different extensions of myself in these songs,’ Kate said, adding, ‘Now I get to have fun putting the visuals to it and sharing it with everyone.’
Shortly before dropping the single, the star opened up about the track in a press release last month.
‘You only have one first single. And I wanted it to be something delicious and sexy and all the things that I believe in.’
‘I wanted it to be open and seeking, searching to find something powerful. But I also wanted the music to be the rock, the pop, the dance music and even a bit of the alternative records I love.’
The daughter of Goldie Hawn added, ‘It was a lot to put into one song, but thankfully, I had some wonderful people working with me. And so, here we are!’
Last month, Kate also talked to E! News about deciding to kick off her music career and explained that simply it had been ‘time.’
‘For me, with music and songwriting, it was time. It was a great fear of mine to be rejected for my writing. You know, why put myself out there so vulnerably?’
‘Over time you realize, and as you get older, that’s the very thing holding you back. And taking risk is part of [what] has been a thrill for me, which is why I want to be an artist and why I’ve always put myself out there,’ Hudson added.

‘Do it because you love it, not because you’re expecting some sort of validation – I just got that point.’
She then offered advice and expressed, ‘And I would say to the younger kids is, “What moves you? What is the actual purpose of all this?” If it’s seeking the outside, then you’re going to get hurt. But if it’s a drive, if it’s a calling, keep going.’
Along with diving into her new music career, Kate has been keeping busy with her podcast, Sibling Rivalry, with brother Oliver Hudson.
She is also mother to three children: son Ryder, 20, whom she shares with ex-husband Chris Robinson; son Bingham, 12, whom she welcomed with ex and Muse frontman Matt Bellamy; and daughter Rani, whom she shares with Fujikawa.
