's planned July 4 show at the Alamodome is under threat after the mayor of San Antonio,  blasted his history of antisemitism.

West, 49, went into career freefall in 2022 after making a series of antisemitic remarks on his , losing a number of high-profile business relationships.

While West has since issued a public mea culpa for his despicable remarks, his upcoming high-profile performance is at risk of being shelved.

'Military City USA should not host someone with a record of hate speech and antisemitic comments in a city-funded facility like our Alamodome,' Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones said in an X post on Saturday.

She continued, 'Not ever, and certainly not on July 4th, our Nation’s 250th birthday.'

Ortiz Jones said that 'standing up to antisemitism is exactly what it takes to achieve a more perfect Union.'

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for West for comment.

Her comments come after West was , while a number of other recent and upcoming concerts have faced pushback from politicians around the world.

A number of users criticized the mayor on social media, claiming that her comments did not benefit the local economy and reeked of censorship. 

'He apologized move on,' one user said. 'We are facing a 100+ million dollar deficit and we'd be stupid to not capitalize on it. Be smarter.'

Another added, 'I’m not a fan of Ye but there is something called the first amendment.'

In April, West's visa was taken away as he was slated to perform at the Wireless Festival in London, which itself .

'We are clear that the past comments and actions of this artist are offensive and wrong, and not reflective of London’s values,' London Mayor Sadiq Khan's office told Rolling Stone. 

An insider close to West told the  at the time that the Stronger rapper was 'disappointed' as he hoped to convene a dialog with people concerned with providing him a platform.

The Grammy-winning rapper this year has appeared to take multiple steps to re-establish himself as a professional with the Jewish community

'Things got worse the longer I ignored the problem,' West said. 'I said and did things I deeply regret. It does not excuse what I did though. I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people.' 

The Through the Wire rapper was pictured in April in Beverly Hills, California, as he visited the Simon Wiesenthal Center. 

The Black Skinhead artist in November of 2025 told  that he was prepared to accept 'accountability' for his past antisemitism.

He had advertised his site with an expensive ad broadcast in various markets during the Super Bowl, including Los Angeles. 

The Anti-Defamation League said in a post on X/Twitter on February 10, 2025: 'As if we needed further proof of Kanye's antisemitism, he chose to put a single item for sale on his website – a t-shirt emblazoned with a swastika.

'If that wasn't enough, the t-shirt is labeled on Kanye's website as "HH-01," which is code for "Heil Hitler."'

Said the ADL: 'Kanye was tweeting vile antisemitism nonstop since last week. There's no excuse for this kind of behavior.'

The organization added, 'Even worse, Kanye advertised his website during the Super Bowl, amplifying it beyond his already massive social media audience.'
