is being blasted online over her 'condescending' response to a fan who criticized the lack of 'inclusive sizing' in her new clothing line.

The 100-piece Kacey Lee collection, a collaboration between the country superstar and the denim brand Lee, was released Tuesday exclusively at Wal-Mart stores and on the retailer's website.

It offers womenswear, swimwear, menswear and even accessories for pets - all of which affordably range from $8 to $42 - inspired by Musgraves's Western roots.

But the collection quickly faced social media backlash upon its release after it was revealed that most of the sizing caps at XXL in tops and size 18 in bottoms.

Megan Ixim, a 'fat activist' and model, seemingly led the charge by posting a video to her 133,000 Instagram followers accusing Musgraves and Wal-Mart of 'excluding fat people.'

Ixim, who goes by the username @msgiggles, said she was 'disappointed' after learning that 'plus-size customers are not only NOT able to shop this collection in store, but the collection has very limited styles of extended sizes available online.'

Tops, bottoms and one-piece swimsuits are available to purchase in sizes 2X and 3X. However, there is no option for in-store purchase - only 'delivery.'

Megan Ixim, a 'fat activist' and model, seemingly led the charge by posting a video to her 133,000 Instagram followers accusing Musgraves and Wal-Mart of 'excluding fat people'

'Hiii not in my control at all. Sorry you're disappointed. Hope this helps!' Musgraves wrote, followed by a pink-heart emoji.

The Pageant Material singer's response was not well received by fans, who slammed Musgraves as 'rude' and 'mean.'

One Reddit user said that Musgraves's comment - particularly her inclusion of 'Hope this helps!' - was 'objectively condescending.'

Another said that the comment came across as 'passive aggressive' from Musgraves

Others felt that Musgraves should not have responded to the drama in the first place.

'She didn't need to reply at all. Celebrities being shady toward much smaller creators is so tacky,' one Reddit user commented.

However, many fans came to Musgraves's defense as they noted that 'extended sizing is not the same as plus-size' and that Wal-Mart never advertised 'plus sizing' for Kacey Lee.

Several also believed Musgraves's claim that she had 'no control' over how the line was sized or where extended sizes would be made available online or in-store.

As Ixim's post gained traction across social media, Musgraves decided to publicly address the growing criticism

She left a comment under Ixim's original video denying that she had anything to do with the line's sizing

The Pageant Material singer's response was not well received by fans, who slammed Musgraves as 'rude' and 'mean'

'[Musgraves's] comment itself is rude and in poor taste, but I do genuinely believe that she didn't have control over what sizes are available,' wrote one defender.

'Of course she could have demanded that they go up to a certain size before ever agreeing to the collab, but that would require insight into purchasing and sales of clothing that I do not believe she has.'

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Musgraves for comment but has yet to hear back.

The Kacey Lee collection, which is being sold in 2,100 Wal-Mart stores across the United States, coincides with the release of Musgraves's latest album Middle of Nowhere.

Middle of Nowhere, the seventh album in Musgraves's discography, was officially released on May 1 and has already received critical and fan acclaim.

She recently announced a supporting U.S. tour, which kicks off August 20 in Chicago, Illinois and will conclude on October 27 in Seattle, Washington.

Musgraves is a Texas-born singer-songwriter who competed on the short-lived singing competition show Nashville Star in 2007 before finding worldwide fame in 2012 with her breakout single Merry Go 'Round.

Since then, Musgraves has won a total of eight Grammy Awards and has worked with the likes of Willie Nelson, Miranda Lambert, Katy Perry and Noah Kahan.
