Ali Wong’s estranged husband Justin Hakuta is requesting joint custody of their two daughters — just over a month after the Beef star filed for divorce.
Hakuta filed for joint legal and physical custody of their daughters Nikki, six, and Mari, eight, as per legal docs obtained by PEOPLE on Tuesday.
Ali made the same request when she officially filed to end their marriage in December 2023.
As for child support, the outlet claims that Hakuta did not make a direct request but it was noted that he and Wong are working out their divorce in mediation.
In her December 22 divorce filing, Wong — who is dating SNL alum Bill Hader — cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the split, TMZ previously reported.

Their date of separation was listed as April 10, 2022, which was days before they publicly announced their split.
These documents also revealed that Ali and Justin are in mediation to establish spousal support and sorting their assets.
It was reported that the two want to settle their issues themselves.
Ali noted that the couple had a prenup, and she wants it to be enforced by the court.
The pair met at a friend’s wedding reception in 2010 and married in San Francisco in 2014.
In her 2016 Baby Cobra special on Netflix, Ali explained that when she learned Justin was a Harvard student and Fulbright scholar, she played hard-to-get.
‘I was like, “Oh, my God, I’m gonna trap his a**. Going to trap his a**!” And I trapped his a** initially by not kissing him until the fifth date, which is a very unusual move on my part. But I did it on purpose, because I knew that he was a catch,’ she said to a live audience.
In her book, Dear Girls: Intimate Tales Untold Secrets and Advice for Living Your Best Life, Ali credited the prenup she signed before walking down the aisle as one of the secrets to her success.
‘My father always praised “the gift of fear,”‘ she explained. ‘And that prenup scared the s*** out of me.
‘In the end, being forced to sign that prenup was one of the greatest things that ever happened to me and my career.’

Shortly after her separation, Ali dated actor Bill Hader for a couple of months. The former Saturday Night Live cast member had recently ended his relationship with Anna Kendrick.
Wong and Hader reportedly split not long after, but appeared to have rekindled their romance when they were seen kissing while hiking in LA in April 2023.
Two days prior to the sighting, a rep for Bill confirmed to Page Six that he and Ali were back together.
