Jessica Alba revealed that she has pivoted to producing as her ‘next chapter’ after recently leaving The Honest Company.
The 43-year-old actress during an appearance on Monday on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon was congratulated by Jimmy, 49, on the success of The Honest Company that she co-founded in 2012.
Jimmy noted that Jessica recently hired a new CEO for The Honest Company, which produces safe, eco-friendly baby, beauty and cleaning products.
‘Yeah, I have Carla Vernoฬn, and she’s running the company, and it’s great. And there’s a whole senior leadership team that’s fantastic,’ said Jessica, who last month announced she was stepping down from her position as Chief Creative Officer.
‘I feel like it’s my fourth baby and I like sent it …sent my baby off to college,’ added Jessica, who has three children with husband Cash Warren, 45.

Jessica said she was ready for her ‘next chapter’.
Jimmy asked what she was tackling next and Jessica said she was getting into entertainment and wanted to produce more.
She was on the NBC talk show to promote her upcoming Netflix action movie Trigger Warning that she stars in and also executive produced.
The Dark Angel star said she loves doing action work and stunts.
Jessica said the producers who did John Wick and Sicario also produced Trigger Warning.
‘And I was like, I want to have like a grounded, cool female-driven action movie. And so the director was a woman and the writer who did The Last Pass was a woman. The producers were women. The DP is a woman. Set deck women. And so we had a lot of heads of departments in a genre that’s pretty dominated by men,’ Jessica said.
‘The most bad-ass people I know are women. I mean, like, we give birth. So I was like, “Why can’t we sit here and, like, do this genre?”,’ Jessica said.
‘And it was so fun. I loved it,’ she added.

Jessica shared that Trigger Warning follows her character Parker who goes home after her father dies.
‘And it doesn’t smell right. Things are just not really adding up. And she is a Special Forces commando. She was in active duty when she got pulled out of it,’ Jessica said.
Jessica added that her character unearths local illegal arms dealing and takes on a gang on her own.ย
Trigger Warning will premiere on June 21 on Netflix. The film also features Sixteen Candles star Anthony Michael Hall, 56, who portraysย Senator Ezekiel Swann, a powerful politician.
The production companies for the film are Santa Monica, California-based Thunder Road Films, which previously has produced John Wick, The Town and Sicario, as well as Lady Spitfire that Jessica announced she had formed in February.
Jessica in 2015 graced the cover of Forbes magazine in an issue titled America’s Richest Self-Made Women as her fortune was pegged at $200 million.
The Honest Company after being founded in 2012 gained a valuation of $1 billion in a short span with the actress holding a 15 to 20 percent stake.
Jessica has daughters Honor, who will soon turn 16, and 12-year-old Haven, as well as six-year-old son Hayes with Cash.ย
