Jesse Lally’s Affair with Anna Nicole Smith

The Valley star Jesse Lally revealed he had an affair with Anna Nicole Smith after portraying her love interest in a commercial for the caffeine-filled dietary supplement TrimSpa.

‘For a year or two,’ the 44-year-old former Ford Model dished on Tuesday’s episode of Teddi Mellencamp’s iHeartRadio Podcast, Popping Off.

‘I would come to LA and she’d be in New York every once in a while.’

It was 2003 when the Texan blonde bombshell signed on as brand ambassador for TrimSpa, which she claimed helped her lose 69lbs off her formerly curvaceous 5ft11in frame.

‘It was a pretty big campaign,’ Jesse explained.

‘I literally walked over with no shirt on, sat down. She’s like, “Oh hi, I’m Anna Nicole.” And I’m like, “Nice to meet you.” And then then we moved out to the beach and I grabbed her and I pulled her down into the water. We were shooting with Antoine Verglas, famous fashion photographer, and everybody was so pi**ed because she her hair was wet, eyelashes – all that stuff, and it ended up being what they ended up using.’

Lally recalled Anna (born Vickie Lynn Hogan) being worried about getting sick after their steamy yet chilly South Beach shoot, and he offered to give her one of his many ‘supplements and vitamins’ that were back in his hotel room.

Mellencamp scoffed: ‘Is that line your go to, “You know what, I have a ton of supplements?”‘

‘I wish I was still taking them because at this point I’m just aging rapidly and going gray as as quick as possible. But yeah, she called me about having a bottle of wine in the room and

I was like, “Yeah, I can come up to the room.” And it was funny. We did a couple’s massage and before the two massage therapists showed up, she was like, “Let’s kind of [mess] with them a little bit,’ The Beverly Hills Estates senior director said.

‘So we were like going back and forth, making jokes, talking like you know, trying to see if something would come out [in the gossip mags]. And this is way before social media, and it was just fun. We just had that like relationship. We were just kind of like two little kids messing with each other.’

Jesse was touched when Smith autographed one of their behind-the-scenes snaps for his brother who had just come back from the Iraq War: ‘It was so sweet.’

When Teddi suggested that Lally was one of the 1993 Playmate of the Year’s ‘bad decisions’ he coyly replied: ‘I don’t know. I mean, I might have been the light sort of guiding her.’

The Boston native confirmed he also met Anna’s attorney Howard Stern, with whom she later exchanged vows and rings in a non-legally binding commitment ceremony in the Bahamas in 2006.

Jesse previously said he was only ‘friends’ with Smith while appearing on the May 21st episode of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

The former Guess Girl – who passed away, at age 39, from an accidental drug overdose – is survived by her 17-year-old daughter Dannielynn Birkhead, who makes an annual appearance at the Kentucky Derby with her father Larry Birkhead, who dated Anna on/off between 2004 and 2007.

Anna acted in six films including Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult (1994), The Hudsucker Proxy (1994), and Be Cool (2005).

Smith also guest starred in episodes of Fox legal drama Ally McBeal and NBC sitcom Veronica’s Closet

Eventually the high school drop-out brought her larger-than-life boisterous personality to her very own E! reality show The Anna Nicole Show, which ran for three seasons (2002-2004).

But there’s no lack of public interest in Anna as she was just the subject of the 2023 Netflix documentary film Anna Nicole Smith: You Don’t Know Me.

Emmy-nominated director Francesca Gregorini (The Dropout, The Truth About Emanuel) is currently helming a biopic on Smith called Hurricanna, which will star Sylvia Hoeks, Holly Hunter, and Mark Duplass.
