Mayim Bialik was fired as the host of Jeopardy! will not be returning to the show.

The 48-year-old Blossom actress was informed by Sony that she will ‘no longer be hosting’ the syndicated version of the game show.

She took to Instagram on Friday to confirm rumors since she had not been seen on the show since her last appearance in May.

It was reported back in September that she was ‘unlikely’ to return to host for ‘the rest of the year’.

‘As the holiday break begins in Hollywood, I have some Jeopardy! news,’ she began in her lengthy caption.

‘Sony has informed me that I will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy!,’ she continued.

‘I am incredibly honored to have been nominated for a primetime Emmy for hosting this year and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of the Jeopardy! family,’ she wrote.

‘For all of you who have supported me through this incredible journey and to the fans, contestants, writers, staff and crew of America’s Favorite Quiz show, thank you,’ she said.
