The 57-year-old appeared like she had done her research well as she prepared to film what looked like an intense scene in downtown on Thursday.
She may have been going over some dramatic dialogue as she clutched a script in her hand. A production assistant walked beside the star reading what looked like a copy of the written scene.
Wearing a short-sleeved black top and dark loose pants that bagged around her flip flops, Aniston looked effortlessly cool as usual in aviator shades and her hair perfectly styled.
At another point during the day, Aniston - whose - was seen bundled up in a coat and scarf while holding her cell phone. She was accompanied by the same assistant who led her along by the arm.
While some scenes are filmed on location in New York, the show films extensively in Los Angeles, and a lot of the production including interior newsroom scenes take place at Sony Studios in Culver City, per IMDb.
