The professional dancer, 40, and her husband Aljaz Skorjanec, 33, welcomed their baby daughter Lyra in July last year.

But, the demands of motherhood and presenting the show appear to be getting too much as she posted a clip to Instagram wiping away her tears.

As she commuted to work, the twinkle-toed star opened up about her busy life and balancing her busy lifestyle.

In her honest post she said: ‘It’s tough to balance parenthood and work, but we all do our absolute best.

‘It’s getting harder and harder to leave Lyra at nursery as she’s getting older and more aware, and our bond is growing stronger. But I know it’s the best for both of us right now.

‘I can get to work knowing she is safe, and she develops social skills and stronger immunity to viruses all while having fun and learning.’

‘She always cries when I leave her, but she is fine after a few minutes.

‘It hurts so hard to see her upset and holding on so tight to mami.

‘But I remind myself that she is learning from example, a loving mami who protects and cares for her, and also works hard to provide for her family, and make her dreams come true.’

Aljaž returned to Strictly this year after leaving the show in 2022.

His return to the BBC show has been marred by controversy as the cast and crew are reportedly furious he’s back following the alleged backstage row with a female pro – who is said to be still on the show.

Two years after his exit, it’s reported that Aljaž departed the show after an alleged incident with a fellow female professional dancer on the nationwide tour.

The decision to bring back the star to the BBC show has reportedly raised eyebrows, especially given a string of scandals that have beset the show in recent weeks.

Janette’s candid clip comes after she suffered a live TV blunder in June when her baby monitor went off during BBC Morning Live.

The Strictly star and her partner Alijaz Skorjanec, 33, welcomed their baby daughter Lyra in July last year.

And while she juggles motherhood with her various TV roles, Janette showed that things don’t always go to plan.

As financial expert Laura Pomfret discussed overdrafts, a muffled screeching was heard in the background.

‘Hang on a minute, let’s stop the baby monitor on Janette’s phone before we carry on. Stop try to hide it,’ host Gethin Jones announced.

Janette explained: ‘It’s because I opened the WhatsApp group. Oh god! I’m so sorry.

Gethin and Laura asked if Lyra was okay with Janette assuring: ‘She’s fine.’

‘Oh good, but some people’s finances are not,’ he joked.

Earlier this year, Janette candidly discussed the emotional difficulty of not being able to hold her baby daughter after her painful C-section.

Janette and her partner Alijaz announced in July they had welcomed baby Lyra after spending two years trying to conceive.

Struggling with a long recovery after the birth, Janette admitted she was left feeling ‘properly down.’

Speaking to The Mirror on their podcast, she explained: ‘It was hard with a C-section it’s a long recovery. I couldn’t carry Lyra as much as I wanted to. That was really hard for me emotionally.

‘It’s weird because you’ve carried this baby in your belly for nine months – you feel so connected to it. Then she’s born, and in the hospital you’re dealing with stitches, you’re dealing with all the drugs in your body.’

Janette continued: ‘I went properly down. I just thought, ‘How can I not hold my baby now? I’ve just done this and now I can’t hold her’. That was really tough.’

Appearing on Loose Women in December, Janette discussed the journey to welcoming Lyra into the world, admitting she was ‘so glad’ she didn’t have to go through IVF.

She said: ‘I was 39 and it is more complicated than you think. Don’t assume it’s going to happen as soon as you get off birth control.

‘We are so grateful we didn’t have to go through IVF. We have a book sazarina and I didn’t know how I was going to feel so I medicated in the morning and we danced and it was like a proper birthday and she was born to the song we wanted.’
