The Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman star sparked rumors of an engagement when she was spotted wearing a diamond ring on the red carpet earlier this month, with the couple confirming the happy news to People.
They also opened up about the moment Zambetti popped the question at their Malibu home, with the musician admitting things didn't quite go to plan.

'I got down on my knees, the whole thing,' he began. 'I had the ring hidden in the safe, pulled out the ring. I opened the box, and the ring popped out of the box, onto the bed.
'Then I had to climb under the bed, and then I couldn't get out, and she had to get out of the bed and pull me out of the bed.'

Seymour then chimed in: 'And we weren't wearing any clothes!'
She added that while there was some 'serious bedhead involved,' the funniest bit was that 'he couldn't get up afterwards.'
Seymour laughed: 'His knee was now stuck from being under the bed and I'm not strong enough to pull him up because he weighs almost twice what I do.
'We looked at one another and started laughing hysterically.'

As for the ring he chose, he spotted one that struck a chord in more ways than one.
He explained: 'I saw this one ring that really spoke to me. Because it had two stones in it. I mean, normally an engagement ring would be one stone, but I like the fact that it had two stones, and they had a little pavé path leading up to each stone.
'I thought, like, it's the two of us together, and there's our past lives each leading up to us being together.'
Now that they are engaged, the couple can get to work planning their wedding.

It will be Seymour's fifth time down the aisle, but she's determined to celebrate in style as she knows this one's for good.

She said: 'I just feel nothing but pure unconditional love and support. And my worry has always been — I've been through betrayals. I've been through a lot of ups and downs in life and I don't know that I dare trust myself, let alone anyone else anymore.'
The star added of her husband-to-be: 'He's just the kindest, most intelligent, loving, caring, giving human being I've ever met.'

She first flashed a diamond ring on her wedding finger while on the arm of Zambetti, at the 33rd annual Race To Erase MS Gala in Century City, in early June.
And the Wedding Crashers star told The Daily Mail she has never been happier in her life.
'I am very much in love and thrilled with it all,' she said. 'John and I get along very well and earlier this year had a marvelous vacation together which was relaxing.'
The siren from England was also seen kissing Zambetti on the red carpet as they looked like smitten teenagers.

The star started wearing the ring earlier this year but has yet to comment on it. The bauble has two diamonds side-by-side in a yellow gold setting.
Seymour said the romance took her by surprise after being married several times. 'I am in a committed, healthy, loving relationship and I feel blessed,' she said. 'I am so lucky to be this happy, especially at this time in my life.'
And she feels that it is their destiny to have met in their seventies: 'The timing is right,' she told The Daily Mail.
They were set up on a blind date by mutual friends and their children after it was revealed their sons had previously hung out together.

Their first date was at a Shwayze concert in Malibu on August 4, 2023.
She has said they celebrate on the 4th of every month because it's the anniversary of their first date.
Last year she told Hello magazine they are having quite the romance.
'In my parents' generation, and I think a lot of people, they reach a certain age and they go, "That's not part of our life any more, and it's not necessary."
'I just think, with maturity, you understand your body, you understand what feels good and you have knowledge, so put it down to that,' Seymour said.
In the past, she has said she will not wed again as she would rather not have any legal complications.
She has been married four times.

She also dated film producer David Green for nine years from 2014 to the summer of 2023.
Other stars at Friday's Race To Erase MS Gala were Ashley Benson and her husband Brandon Davis, Carmen Electra, Jenna Dewan and Luann de Lesseps.
