's lookalike son James appeared to have had a tiring day as he fell asleep while taking the bus this week. 

The musician, 48, who Sir Paul shares with his late wife Linda, nodded off while travelling through west London on Wednesday night.

James was seen hopping on the 274 at London Zoo heading in the direction of Lancaster Gate as he joined other passengers.

He was dressed smartly in a black jacket, white shirt and black tie while out and about in the capital. 

James has his own successful career as a musician and has released several recordings in his own name and contributed to albums by his parents.

It comes after back in 2024 it was revealed Paul had become the first billionaire musician from the UK.

The  star's wealth had risen by £50 million to hit the £1 billion figure that year. 

Paul claimed the musician top spot in 2023 when he had £950 million, and again in 2022 when his fortune was put at £865 million.

The milestone followed his successful 2023 Got Back Tour, the increase in the value of his back catalogue and  covering his band's song Blackbird on her latest album Cowboy Carter.

As ranked by The Sunday Times Music Rich List in 2024, took second place with £515 million, while Sir  followed with £415 million.

Paul headlined the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury in 2022 and his 2023 Got Back tour is expected to have grossed $105m (£84.6m) from just 16 shows. 

His American wife Nancy also has considerable wealth in her own right, coming from haulage dynasty.

Paul and Nancy got married in 2011 after meeting in 2007 and both have children from previous relationships.

Nancy shares son Arlen with her ex-husband Bruce Blakeman, while Paul has Stella, James, Heather and Mary with late wife Linda McCartney and daughter Beatrice McCartney, 22, with ex-wife Heather Mills, 58.

star has detailed how they weren't yet officially a couple and were sleeping in separate bedrooms when he made his move.

Paul explained: 'The piano was sitting in the foyer all day long, and because the rain would not stop, I sometimes went and just noodled on the keys.

'I was thinking all sorts of loving thoughts towards Nancy, and while I was at the piano, I could see that the waiters who were clearing up were listening.

'But it was nice and romantic, it was a perfect moment, and I thought to myself, we’re not going to stay in separate rooms tonight.'

Paul previously revealed his signature dance moves were responsible for his lasting romance with his wife.

Writing in his book, The Lyrics, the Beatles star explained how he knew Nancy was a keeper when she matched his energy on the dancefloor.
