has given a rare insight into her 11-year relationship with musician James Blake and declared he's a 'real man'.

The presenter and actress, 40, and singer-songwriter, 37, started dating back in 2015 and generally keep their romance out of the spotlight. 

But Jameela opened up about her long-term partner as she appeared on the podcast Man Made with for a discussion on masculinity.

Jameela shared that she feels James is a 'real man' because he possesses sensitivity and femininity and branded men who identify as 'macho' the 'most fragile sh** I've ever seen'.

'My boyfriend is a man who has got femininity within him and when I say that I mean sensitivity, he is a sensitive man,' she said. 

'He is the manliest man I have ever met and people presume because I am so strong, I am so outspoken, I must be with some weak cuck simp type whereas it's like no, a weak man couldn't handle me.

'Only a very secure man who knows that I can't rock his shit is going to be able to put up with me for 11 years. 

'I can't take anything away from him even If I tried, his masculinity is so firm nothing threatens it, not his femininity and not mine. That's a real man.'

Jameela went on to share her thoughts on men who identify as 'macho', as she said: 'Macho is the most fragile shit I have ever seen. It's so fragile and it's a mask. 

'It's a caricature. Its cartoonish that's what it looks like to me. Those men are always the most afraid of gay men, trans women, and cis women. They think they hate, they don't hate their afraid. They're afraid of it.'

She gave a detailed insight into her daily routine which included lots of cake, coffee and gossip. 

Jameela lives in with her partner James, two flatmates and two dogs, Barold and Winnie. 

Explaining how she starts her day, Jameela wrote: 'I wake up at 8am, James makes the coffee and we sit in bed and gossip. My day has to start with laughter, coffee and cake.'

'As someone who had anorexia for 20 years, my first thought used to be: 'Don't eat any cake today.' It's liberating to now look forward to it. Our flatmates, two boys I met when I was 19, might join us. It's not sh***ing, just to make that clear.'

Jameela revealed that she can work when she wants to and typically works from home, as she's in a 'position of luxury' due to not having children.

After work, the couple typically go on a one-hour long walk, before James cooks them an Italian meal. 

She went on to say: 'After dinner we watch TV. I always fall asleep then wake up, deny it and gaslight James for half an hour. I'd rather admit to murder. In bed he falls asleep instantly while I lie awake wondering if I can extend the life of my dogs for ever.'

Born in London, Jameela relocated to America in 2016 where she has lived ever since.

She first sparked dating rumors with James after sharing a cosy snap together during her birthday celebration in February 2015.

A few months after posting their first Instagram together, the couple seemingly went public with their romance as they attended the Wimbledon Tennis Championships.

In 2019, several years after going public with their romance, the couple made their red carpet debut as they attended the InStyle and Warner Bros. Golden Globes afterparty.
