Jaden Smith Walks Out After Kanye West Question

Jaden Smith left an interviewer perplexed as he immediately walked off after being asked about longtime pal .

The 27-year-old - who was with Christian Louboutin - was on the red carpet of Druski's Coula Been Love season 2 premiere in Hollywood on Wednesday. 

In a now viral video, Complex reporter Jillian Hardeman-Webb asked Smith: 'I see you’re working with Steven Smith, who designed with Ye. What are y’all cooking up?'

Once West's name was brought up, The Karate Kid actor abruptly stormed out of the interview as he quickly walked down the red carpet. 

Hardeman-Webb looked confused as she looked in the camera and joked: 'I guess we'll never find out.'

Daily Mail has reached out to Smith's representatives for comment and has yet to hear back. 

Smith and West, 48, have a complicated relationship as they have had a longtime friendship with the former even attending the latter's wedding to Kim Kardashian in 2014.

Will Smith's son was even set to star as an 'alternate reality' version of the father-of-four in a Showtime series he was executive producing in 2019.

However, their relationship seemed to hit a snag at Paris Fashion Week in October 2022 as, much like the interview, Smith stormed off from West's Yeezy showcase in disgust.

At the time, his exit came after West and conservative commentator emerged wearing tops that read 'White Lives Matter' on the back.

Smith posted a trio of tweets alluding to his exit from the Parisian fashion show.

The son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith said, 'I Had To Dip Lol ... I Don't Care Who's It Is If I Don't Feel The Message I'm Out ... Black Lives Matter.'

Jaden also liked a tweet that read: 'Jaden smith was at Kanye’s show and dipped when the "white lives matter" shirts came out, that’s a true king right there YUP.'

Meanwhile, Smith has followed in the footsteps of West in the fashion world, however, he  has been ridiculed by fashion bloggers after debuting his first menswear collection for luxury fashion brand Christian Louboutin.

The actor and rapper made history in September when he was appointed as Christian Louboutin's first ever Creative Director for their men's division.

Jaden finally unveiled the results of his debut collection at  last month, and the reception has been mixed to say the least.

Online fashion bloggers have had a field day with the pieces, with many zeroing in on Jaden's fluffy red footwear, which has been likened to Ronald McDonald and Elmo.

'What are we doing? I'm genuinely pissed off because I was rooting for him so hard,' said style influencer Kevin Shephard.

'This man took the opportunity of a lifetime at Christian Louboutin and fumbled it,' he added.

Fashion commentator Carlysle said on TikTok that the faux-fur red boots, which cost $2,990, 'looked like someone skinned Elmo alive', and that one of the furry statement belts looked like 'pubes coming down'.

Art and design commentator Anjela Freyja said on TikTok, 'I have to be honest, it's feeling a bit redundant, probably because he's so young.'

She continued, 'He hasn't really established his own design ideas yet. The red boots are cool, but it feels like design for spectacle verses design for design, and that's very common for young designers to do.'

In one particularly scathing assessment, TikTok page I Went To The Art School said, 'We're watching a first-semester student project being sold as high luxury just because of a famous last name.'  

Others online made fun of Jaden for showing off a bulky $1990 'tactical vest' that he described as 'formal attire' that could be worn to a wedding.
