Fans of the iconic Channel Seven soap Home and Away have been left reeling over a controversial couple, whose relationship is currently playing out on the series.
The couple in question is characters Mackenzie Booth (Emily Weir) and Levi Fowler (Tristan Gorey), who began their relationship in secret while Levi was still married to Imogen Fowler (Georgia Blizzard).
Mackenzie and Levi’s relationship blossomed after the doctor saved her from a heart attack.
Despite the show having several scandalous affairs over the years, fans are less than impressed with this storyline and have taken to social media to criticise the pair after they were complaining about the issues they’ve been through together.
‘Was anyone else struggling every time Mac and Levi talked about “all they had been through” and “they deserve this”, I mean really? Are they looking for sympathy?’ one fan wrote in a Facebook group.

‘Levi never respected his marriage. The fact that he took Mac to the fundraiser event was inappropriate, he totally acted like a free agent. Then when Bree came on to him, he never shut it down. I bet he is a serial cheater,’ another added.
‘Then Mac not wanting him to leave his wife, and enjoying the sneaking around. Now both of them acting like victims. He’s lucky he got his stuff back, I would have dumped it at the tip! They both make me sick!’
Meanwhile, on Instagram, fans continued to rage about the affair.

In a clip posted last month, Mackenzie and Levi were spotted kissing on the beach by Justin Morgan (James Stewart).
‘Pretty sure I saw Mackenzie kissing her doctor… Guess that’s a thing now,’ Justin says in the clip.
In episodes to come, Mackenzie and Levi are about to be embroiled in a dangerous ‘nightmare’, with Mali Hudson (Kyle Shilling) scrambling to rescue the new couple.
