After leaving the Playboy mansion for greener pastures, Holly Madison only found more dramatized storylines.
The Girls Next Door alum, 44, revealed that producers on her 2009 spin-off Holly’s World faked ‘a whole relationship’ with Playmate Jayde Nicole that seeped into her real life.
‘We had a whole relationship in season two of Holly’s World that was fake,’ she explained during Spill or Sweat for Women’s Health.
‘They brought a Playmate on named Jayde because they wanted to have a villain for my show,’ added Madison.
Madison appeared alongside Hugh Hefner’s other girlfriends Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson on E!’s Girls Next Door for five seasons from 2005 to 2009.

Madison noted, ‘And we ended up hating each other in real life… Oops. Fake drama always becomes real drama. Don’t even try it’
The trio was replaced for the sixth and final season by Crystal Harris and twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon.
Holly’s World ran for two seasons from 2009 to 2011, following Madison to Sin City as she took the lead in Planet Hollywood’s Peepshow.
‘This was right around the time Teresa [Giudice] flipped the table on Real Housewives [of New Jersey], and that changed reality TV forever,’ she explained.
‘And everybody said, “You can’t just do a cutesy show about a lifestyle anymore. It has to be drama,”‘ added Madison.
‘So, we brought this Playmate on and had all these literal scripted scenes about her being a villain.’
Madison noted, ‘And we ended up hating each other in real life… Oops. Fake drama always becomes real drama. Don’t even try it.’
The TV personality has opened up in recent years about her life in Playboy, releasing her 2015 memoir Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny.
After she briefly dated Benji Madden in 2011, Madison revealed that the Good Charlotte artist dumped her when producers pressured him to appear on the Holly’s World.
‘When producers caught wind of the rumors and asked me about Benji, I told them that I wasn’t comfortable asking him to be on the show… they wouldn’t drop the subject,’ she wrote in the book.

‘One particular higher-up made me feel like s***, telling me, “If this guy cares about you at all, he should have no problem being on your television show.”‘
Madison added, ‘The last time I had heard from Benji, he revealed to me that “my people” (not sure who, but I have my suspicions) reached out to “his people,” asking him to appear on my show.’
She recalled the experience being ‘super embarrassing and humiliating.’
In a 2021 YouTube video, Madison revealed that Girls Next Door producers also fed her lines on the show.
‘I don’t want to say it because I don’t feel that way,’ she recalled telling one such producer.
‘I think it was something where they were trying to make me look jealous of someone else, another girl or something and I don’t care, I don’t feel that way.’
Madison continued, ‘They’re like, “Yes holly, yes you do, you do feel that way.” Who are you to try and brainwash me, gaslight me and say I do feel that when I don’t?’
