Harry and Shakiras Holiday Sparks Engagement Rumors!

Love Island couple Harry Cooksley and Shakira Khan sent fans into overdrive as they admitted 'I thought this was an engagement post' after they shared loved-up pictures from their holiday to Marrakesh.

The pair have certainly proven those who doubted their relationship wrong by still going strong nearly a year after meeting in the villa. 

Harry, 31, and Shakira, 23, placed second on the 12th series of the ITV2 dating show last year, and they recently jetted off to the popular city in Morocco for some sunshine. 

They took to Instagram to share some sweet pictures from their travels, including one of the former footballer lifting the influencer up in the air, another of them holding hands and a third of them cosied up together. 

'Marrakech over & out,' the two penned on social media. 

At first glance many thought that their post was an engagement announcement, with one writing in the comments section: 'Why did I think it was an engagement post?'

Another replied: 'K, so it wasn’t just me.'

'My heart was in shock I thought this was a engagement post.'

'Practice engagement post.'

'PLS I THOUGHT THIS WAS AN ENGAGEMENT POST.'

'Thought the first image was gonna be a marriage announcement.'

'I thought this was a proposal post.'

The pair both entered the villa on day one of last year's show. 

On day one of their series, Shakira coupled up with Ben Holborough, while Harry was partnered with Sophie Lee. 

Shortly after the first coupling, Toni Laites stole Ben off Shakira, meaning that she was single and she then showed her interest in Harry by picking him. 

But days later Shakira went back to Ben and while everything seemed fine between the pair, cracks started to show while Harry was in a strong couple with Helena Ford. 

Then things in the villa started to get a little complicated as Shakira and Harry coupled up together, but then Harry went back to Helena. 

Shakira and Conor Philips coupled up with each other and the attraction was definitely there - but Shakira and Harry couldn't ignore their spark. 

The pair ended up getting together just weeks before the final, leaving Helena heartbroken and placed second on the show. 

Love Island 2026 is just around the corner. 

The hit dating show returns on Monday June 1 with a fresh batch of hopeful singles looking to find their type on paper. 

Maya Jama, who just finished filming The Celebrity Traitors, will return to host series 13, and she has promised viewers there will be even more twists this year. 

And on Wednesday the with a detective, hunky primary school teacher and Arsenal footballer's ex. 

Last week the Spanish villa, located in Mallorca, underwent a huge makeover just days before the ITV2 show returns to our screens. 

Love Island 2025 was on our screens between June 9 and August 4 2025.
