lifted the lid on her 'amazing' sex life with her fiancé, Van Hunt, on Tuesday.

The actress, 59, who revealed her engagement to the musician, 55, earlier this month, opened up on their relationship while appearing on the latest episode of Emily Morse's podcast, Sex With Emily

During the candid conversation, the Oscar winner discussed what it really takes to have a loving connection and incredible sex in your 50s, and how becoming whole on her own finally attracted the relationship she had always wanted.

Speaking on the podcast, she said: 'After three divorces, I really thought that I was done, you know, you get to a point when you've gone through that three, four times, you start to think well "I guess a relationship like this isn't for me.

She continued: 'And I felt like I'd had enough, and I just wanted to have my career and raise my children. I would be good.

'But I realised that the minute you get good and you stop chasing that thing, I realised chasing that thing is what always allowed me to make the wrong choices.

'Because I needed that thing that I thought would complete me, like many of us do, and when I gave up, and I said you know, I'm going to prioritise myself, my life, my wellbeing, my second act, this isn't going to be so important to me anymore.

'That's when the perfect person showed up, and I realised it's because I was now whole and complete, and I was putting out something different, and I finally attracted what I was.

'But I finally was what I wanted to be, right? And so, I didn't have bad guys before, I was attracting a reflection of myself, so I wasn't healed, I wasn't whole, so I was attracting not healed, not whole partners.

'But when I took four years (without dating) to get whole, then he came along, so jump to the sex part.'

Discussing how taking time for herself done her well, she added: 'Find that guy we are having the most amazing sex two can have, like it's amazing, and I'm 54, and I'm thinking wow, you know four years off did me good.'

Elsewhere in the interview, Halle told how she and her fiancé met during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and spoke to each other for hours on the phone before meeting in person as they were in different cities at the time.

As a result of that, they both got to know each other on a personal level, so when they finally got the chance to meet in person, they instantly connected, and she felt as if she 'already knew him so well'.

She continued: 'We met at the top of Covid, and we met just talking to each other, we asked each other every question two people could ask.

'We told each other our good, our bad, our dirty, we were just like, who cares? You're way over in Atlanta, I'm in LA. If we ever see each other, if this ends, who cares?

'Through that, though, we learned so much about each other that when I finally met him, maybe six months after, when he decided to come to LA, we had sex the first day we met.

'I had never done that with anybody, but I had sex the first day with a man I just met, but I already knew him so well because we had eight ten-hour conversations daily about everything.

'We had to have sex, because there was no more questions to ask.'

Telling how she felt safe around him the first time they met, she added: 'It was amazing, because I had sex for the first time with a man that I was in love with, that had never happened before.

'So I just thought, wow, this is the most amazing experience of my life.'

The interview comes after Halle confirmed her engagement to Van earlier this month after months of speculation.

While on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she said, 'Well, there's some confusion that he asked to marry me, and I said no. No, that's not the case. I did not say no. We just don't have a date.'

The mother-of-two added, 'But of course I said I would marry him! He did put a little ring on it.'

She was set up with Van through his brother during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in April 2020, but they only texted and talked on the phone until their first date four months later.
