The Princess of Wales, 42, announced last week in an emotional video message that she is undergoing ‘preventative’ chemotherapy after cancer was discovered following her major abdominal surgery earlier this year.

And speaking before Kate’s cancer revelation the TV personality recalled their numerous interactions over the years saying how the Princess had the ‘ability to connect with everyone’.
She told The Mirror’s Invite Only podcast: ‘She’s just brilliant. From the first time I met her to now, I’m still blown away by her ability to connect with everyone’.

Giovanna also revealed how the last time she met the Royal was at a charitable baby bank and even discussed the benefits of nipple cream while breast feeding.
‘It’s always really lovely to see her, actually. We went to her Christmas Carol concert at Westminster Abbey and as she was walking past, she caught my eye and circled back so she could say hello to all the kids. That was really special’.
Before adding: ‘I just think she’s a wonderful human. She cares about her legacy and I think that will only mean great things for future generations’.
Kate’s announcement that she has cancer followed weeks of cruel speculation on platforms including X, Instagram and TikTok, where trolls shared mocking posts and memes about her whereabouts.
Following the news Giovanna took to Instagram writing: ‘Words fail me. The speculation. The conspiracies. The entitlement. So much going on in her world, in her heart’.
‘So much happening that she wants to navigate carefully to protect her young children. Yet she’s forced to take time away from that because of the unnecessary noise from ‘caring’ strangers’.
‘The Princess of Wales has always led with dignity, grace and compassion. Working alongside her always gives the greatest lessons in how to care. How to listen. How to “human”‘.
Before adding: ‘I’m thinking of our future Queen and hope she can now be left with nothing but everyone’s good wishes as she continues her treatment and surrounds herself with the love of her family’.

Meanwhile, Blake Lively shared her regrets for an ill-advised jibe about photoshop before Kate’s diagnosis was revealed.
She had previously shared an obviously edited photo of herself alongside a post promoting her drinks brand.
The 36-year-old said last week: ‘I’m sure no one cares today but I feel like I have to acknowledge this. I made a silly post around the ‘photoshop fails’ frenzy, and oh man, that post has me mortified today. I’m sorry. Sending love and well wishes to all, always.’
