Gold Logie nominee Julia Morris has revealed who she really thinks is deserving of Australia's most coveted TV award.

The veteran presenter, 58, who has been nominated for her fifth Gold Logie award, admitted that she believes the person most deserving of the coveted prize is her former ... Get Me Out Of Here! Australia co-host Robert Irwin.

'I think the best idea is to give it to someone else. And when I say someone else, obviously I mean Robert. I speak often about Robert being the future of television,' Julia told this week's Stellar magazine.

She added that Robert, who was also nominated for the coveted award, has more than proven himself during their stint together on IAC – She was confident he was set for a great future in television.

'No-one needs to be worried about the future if we've got young people like Robert coming through. I think we're gonna be fine,' she said.

The Sydney-born presenter added she was still struggling to come to terms with the news of IAC's cancellation.

'The problem with the jungle is it was such an exquisite experience that it's still ricocheting around our nervous systems to the point where… it's not that we haven't accepted that we're more than likely not going back,' she said.

'Our bodies refuse to accept it. I've practically already got the bags out.'

Julia and Robert are both up for the Gold Logie award crowning Australia's most popular TV presenter, with the ceremony to be held at Sydney's The Star on Sunday, August 16.

They will join former Logies host and funnyman Sam Pang, 52; ABC star Lisa Millar, 56; MasterChef Australia's Poh Ling Yeow, 52; Channel Nine's Ally Langdon, 47; and host and presenter Todd Woodbridge, 55.

Last month, the who's who of Australia's TV industry descended upon The Star in Sydney for the 2026 Logie nominations.

However, one face who was noticeably missing on the day was newly announced host and Gold Logie nominee - despite ' hilarious antics.

The beloved comedian ensured all eyes were on her as she carted around a cardboard cut-out of her IAC co-host, who was enjoying some family time in outback Australia.

Julia's artistic streak didn't go unnoticed as she trotted around the event.

It was enough for guests to do a double take.

Julia was understandably reflective as the nominations were being handed out following the announcement Channel 10 has opted to put IAC on pause.

'It's the end of an era. I probably won't notice the heartbreak until it's time to go to the jungle,' she told Daily Mail.

'It was 12 years in a row - and that jungle saved my life on so many different levels. How could I not be anything but grateful?'

'I gotta go and find some work, if you know what I'm saying,' she continued.

Channel 10 made the difficult decision to pull I'm a Celeb from its 2027 line-up in May.

'We have made the decision to rest I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2027 as we focus on offering our audience a range of content on all platforms,' a spokesperson said in a statement.
